Very expensive. Had a leak and they changed out shut off valve. About 1 1/2 hours work.and charged me $270. Promised quote before work was done and did not do that. more

I love Schwartz Plumbing Comapny! All the plumbers are so nice, and do an AMAZING JOB! Everytime I have a plumbing issue I call them, and if I need a referral for a bath remodel or kitchen remodel I call them. They reffer the best companies out their! Amazing quality work! I have been calling this company forever and continue to do until the end of time. Do not listen to the 1 starred reviews, trust me when I say this, amazing plumbers! If you ever have a complaint or question, you can always speak to the owner! Nice people, quality work, amazing prices, what else can you ask for? more

I had a great experience with Schwartz Plumbing, and I am taking the time to relate it because, as a small business owner, I know it makes a difference. A few years ago, Schwartz Plumbing installed our new water heater. Recently, I had two issues - one which could have been very expensive to fix. The plumber told me that I didn't need to get this special equipment and he explained why. He did fix the problem with my sink, and the price was reasonable. They could have sold me the expensive solution, but instead they were honest and informative. I will definitely use them the next time I need a plumber. I've used this vendor for years and always had good service until now. Called on Sunday and didn't hear back until Tuesday. Returned their call within 60 second...but it rang and rang and rang. Left voice mail. THe rude women at the other end said they never got the message...and it would be ANOTHER day until they could come out. I mentioned we lived in the same neighborhood as the owner AND had used them for oh 20 years...,Just rudeness.\r \r So I'm shopping plumbers. If you employ people like this women and can't service people quick enough you don't deserve my business. more

Plumbing work was fine and plumber very friendly, but billing is a disaster. I was given a quote for a kitchen remodeling job, but when they did a piece of the work early, they billed it as ""extra."" I was promised it would just be included in the final bill for the whole project, but the ""extra"" invoice just kept coming. Never got straightened out. I paid it, but feel like I got ripped off. I will never use them again. more

Considered Schwartz as well as 3 other local plumbers when i planned to replace a 17 year old hot water heater with a top of the line Noritz Tankless. Schwartz provided the most detailed review of the situation, the estimator took time to review the details with me and was very patient and understanding. The installers showed then they said, did what they said and completed the job to my satisfaction. I'm ecstatic with the end result and the Noritz. Horrible experience with this company. Be careful with what they try to sell you. They were able to walk a way with a great deal of our money and didn't seem to care one bit about doing it. Once they have your money they could care less about customer satisfaction. Very disheartening in this economy. Cons: overpriced and rude more

AVOID THIS COMPANY Chris, an employee, explained that Schwartz Plumbing always provides a WRITTEN estimate BEFORE any work is done. I recently needed a plumber at a rental house in Raleigh, and scheduled a plumber for 8:00 AM the following morning. When I arrived at 8:00 AM the next day, I was surprised to see that the work had already been done. The plumber stated that he had arrived at 7:30. It took about 20 minutes for the job and the bill was $260!. Of course, there was no estimate, so, I could not reject this exorbitant fee. A respectful letter was written to Mr. Schwartz complaining of the situation. NO phone call; NO return letter; NO email reply! AVOID THIS COMPANY. The plumber(s) may be great, but I did not make it pass the unbelievably rude receptionist who answered the phone. Owner needs to hire someone w/ some manners. more

Schwartz Plumbing Co. was recommended to me by Sentry Management to check out my hot water heater. Apparently one went bad in our condo unit. Now I know why they use him. Allyn did good work. I called him up, he arrived the next day to give me a solid estimate. I had originally planned to get my hot water heater replaced and install some faucets, get two jobs done at once, you know. It turned out that my hot water heater may not need to be replaced for a few more years, which saved me $1350. A disreputable plumber would have replaced it. He did a great job installing the faucets the day after the original estimate. He did suggest I replace my disposal, and I am happy I did. He put a knarly in-sink-erator in for a good price. The old one shook my sink and was a cheapo to begin with. The original estimate was what I ended up paying, so he does a good estimate. It only took him about an hour to get the job done.
