""The puppy"" (Bart - 53.5 pounds of friendly) has been in to visit the Schertz Animal Hospital at least 5 or 6 times. He's an 18 month old American/English bulldog mix (supposedly, but he looks like he's got some boxer mixed in there, too). The staff has been polite, friendly, professional and knowledgeable every time and I think the doctors are top notch. When Bart was a ""small"" pup, he broke a tiny bone near the ligament on his back leg. Dr. Rodriguez found the fracture (pretty fast, it seemed to me), put a cast on it, put another cast on it after he chewed the first and second ones off, called it good (saving Bart $2000+ and a lifetime limp) and Bart now walks perfectly like the proud, productive member of society that he is. The office has some ""special/recommended"" products (food, pet maintenance supplies) stocked and for sale to the public and the grooming/kennel areas seem more than satisfactory. The entire operation is moving to a new, updated facility within the next few months with much more available space. All things considered, I think the Shertz Animal Hospital provides an excellent, customer focused, vet function to the community.
Pros: Professional, friendly, helpful staff - Top notch doctors. Many (varied) services available.
Cons: Waiting area could be bigger - new facility will be complete in a couple/few months.
