Dr. Lisa Toolen is the best! My dog had a lump on her side and I was reluctant to have any testing or surgery done since she was almost 15 years old. Dr. Toolen explained that t...

I have had several types of pets over the years and have taken them to this hospital because it's located close to my home. Dr. Bill treated my cat, who was 17yo at the time. My...

OK...where to start... Dr. B is been my loving dog's vet for 13 years....SHE IS GREAT! It is worth going there for her ONLY. If you go there ask for her and only her. Dr. Chiosi, the boss, is allright, but to me he doesn't seem too involved. The reception desk employees, suck! It is obvious they hate there job and they aren't too happy about beeing there....Ah, and another annoying thing...in 13 years of going there with 2 dogs, I always had to wait at least 30-40 minutes to see the doctor...Too long and not acceptable. more

Love Dr. B - Horrible personnel 5/9/2008

I started going to Sayrebrook because my friend works there and said Dr Birmingham rocks! And she does. But the billing staff is horrible, rude, and immature. The head manager is never on site (so if you have a problem, don't ask for Jill - she won't be there). I have 4 cats that I have been taking there. Every time I've gone in, I get a bill because they forgot to bill me for something previously. Then they mail me a bill that was taken care of by FoA. I had to tell them they forgot to bill me for rabies shots, and I never got the rabies tags. When I called to straighten out the bill, Linda (the book keeper) starts yelling that they're only human and that everyone makes mistakes. I said, "Yes, but 4 billings mistakes in one month to one client is a lot." Her response was, "Well I hope you're perfect and that everything you do in life is perfect."\r Bottom line - as awesome as Dr B is, the aggravation of surprise bills and then having to deal with incompetent and immature managerial peo more

Middletown Animal Hospital is 1000x better! 2/7/2007

Dr. Bill left abruptly, so there are no vets there worth your while. I had to ASK Dr. Birmingham to give my dog a sonogram when he was dying of lymphoma - which i found out AFTER the sonogram was done. Then I got a rescue who had bad teeth. They gave me an estimate for 7 teeth to be pulled. After it was done they told me they had to pull 20 teeth! and my bill was $700. Incredible that they just went ahead and didn't even give me the courtesy of a phone call for that amount of money. I left. I now use Middletown Animal Hospital. WHAT A DIFFERENCE. I don't wait for 20 minutes and then wait in the exam room for another 20 minutes and then wait another 15 minutes for meds. If you have a 3pm appt, you see the Dr. at 3pm. They are all great! and they give you your meds and bill before you leave the exam room. You go out and pay and you're done, wonderful! more

Ask for Dr. Bill 9/17/2005

I went to Sayrebrook Veterinary for many years including when they were at their former location on the corner of Washington and Main. I am not crazy about the lead doctor but both my cats loved Dr. Bill. He has a wonderful temperament and is very caring. When I had to put one of my cats to sleep he was very kind to both my family and I. My one issue with the vet is that it is a large office and sometimes the dog patients would upset my cats. more

Loving and HELPFUL 9/4/2005

Sayrebrook Veterinary Hospital is an extremely beautiful Place. The staff and all four of the Vets are very loving and ready to jump at the chance to help you out in any way possible. Its very clean, well priced, and most important Loving and Humane. It is also very spacious, has alot of seating, well cared for snakes/fish/frogs in the waiting area. PROS: Clean, Loving, Reasonably Priced CONS: 10-15 minute wait to be seen more
