I've been going to Sasha since last year and I've been to several different hair salons and the most expensive and they were always just ok not great. since I've been going to her she has made me very sastisfied with my hair and look. She makes me look very sassy and chic. With lots of layers and it looks always fabulous. She also did my hair cause I was the maid of honor at my sister wedding and all the bridemaids and they all look great. She does my mom hair and she has made her look even younger. She does a fabulous job. Always very satisfied. Thank you Sasha. Pros: She is always very nice and friendly and you always leave with a beautiul haircut or highlights. Cons: somewhat expensive. But worth it. more

Great Makeover 7/30/2007

Sasha completely turned my hair around. She put in beautiful, natural looking highlights that completely changed the dull look of my natural dark brown color. They weren't even obvious after growing out. She also gave me a cut that looks great even when I just wash it and let it air-dry (which I do more often than not). This woman knows what she's doing...and it's worth the price. Pros: friendly staff with great skill, relaxed atmosphere, great cuts & color Cons: some may not like the laid-back atmosphere, definitely costs more than supercuts more

Just beautiful! 7/24/2007

I was very impressed with how much time she spent with my cut making sure that everything looks good. I've got pretty good hair, it's very thick though, so I had my share of miserable cuts. She recommended a classic haircut that looks like Nicole Richie's cut when she had that mid length (to her shoulders) hair. I love it! Easy to menage, can put it in a pt, curls look great with it, not too many crazy layers. Pros: absolutelly beautiful cut more

Cool hair! 4/26/2007

Got a very cool cut from Sasha Lemay! Loving my new bangs and wispy layers. Wish I went a bit shorter..... but that's my fault (got scared to cut much length). Well, next time... She gave me a bit chunkier highlights. With the new cut it's right on! Thought the prices were fair for the skills and location (like one other review stated the salon is simple but neat). great master for blonds 4/18/2007

Sashah has done my hair for over 5 years. I'm more than happy to write a review for her because I love my hair! So consistent. in 5 years we tryed about 3 or 4 different cuts (long bob, shoulder length with layers etc.) I loved all of them! Easy to style and feminine. I've been blond since 9th grade and they way she does it now is the best. bright and smooth. Also, she stopped putting that much texture in my cut, got the layers longer and said that it would reflect the light and the blond would appear shinier and smoother. and it did! I am amazed that someone knows enough about hair to see how the cut would effect the color. more

Positive experience 4/16/2007

I saw their ad in Austin Monthly and decided to give it a try. I needed my hair fixed for an event and the girl in the ad had a style that was close to what I was picturing for myself. It's hard to get an updo that doesn't look like you are going to a prom. My hair didn't look anything like that. It was very Red Carpet. Even people I didn't know complemented my hair. My experience was very positive. I highly recommend Dragonfly and especially Sasha - hairstylist that fixed my hair. more

Fantastic! 4/11/2007

I gave myself 100% to her opinion and creativity and the results were fantastic! Best hair I've ever had.( I should probably mention that I was Sacha's hair model.) It did feel like a makeover. She took some risks and I'm so glad she did. I felt she worked with such an inspiration. It's like she saw in her mind the best I could possibly be and was working towards it... Maybe the fact that I was not a regular client gave her more freedom (although, I don't know maybe all of her clients get great makeovers) but I saw an artist creating... My cut has so much more movement - a little above shoulders, long layers, texture. The color goes absolutely together with the cut - dark blond, light blond and some other color that looks almost lavender light brown (weird on it's own but fantastic in the combination). I am a design major and from what I know, I could see that her sense of color, form and proportion is excellent! Pros: cut, color, style, makeup, everything... more

Sasha, my hair turned out awesome! I was in love with the cut from the first moment, but couldn't see the color in the dark, evening light. When i got in the car in the morning, I could see all the detail work with my highlights and color and it looks awesome! I know, everyone is going for Ruth W look now but I totally wanted that myself. The bangs look very cool too! Thanks! more

Good taste is ageless 4/6/2007

My 22 years old daughter recommended Sasha and I absolutely love my hair! She transformed my plain old fashioned bob into a much slicker and chic looking cut and my dull, always faded color into shiny and rich light brown (a couple of shades darker but a lot better!) It proves that when something is done tastefully, it can be beautiful to all generations. Even though, my daughter and I may have styles that are quite different (over 30 years gap:), I love her hair! Very ""avant garde"" but doesn't look ""weird"", a cut with very clean lines and gorgeous sandy blond highlights. Good taste is ageless. more

I've been Sasha's client for a little over a year and I can say, she knows the hair!!! it's hard to find a good color of highlights for my fairly dark brown hair, but she puts a beautiful kind of beigy-ashi color, looks like I went to the beach for a week. I like how it grows out too. She's been just trimming my hair because I was on the way to the altar all year:) And here it goes, I'm writing this review because I wanted to thank Sasha for making myself and the girls so beautiful on the day of my wedding! My hairdo was very elegant but no too overdone and the makeup was natural but with a touch of glam (I love that!) The girls got only their hair done and they were very happy too. Thanks again! Great skills, humble space 4/1/2007

I found the skills of the stylist more than satisfying. She was also very polite and professional. However, for those of you who got used to modern luxury salons, this place may feel a little... how do I say it?... simple? There was no front desk, stylists keep their schedule themselves (which may be a good thing), instead of hip CD there was radio playing. The place was clean but had an appearance more of a little house made into a salon. Again, it depends on your personal taste. I think, I am the one who enjoys more hip and dynamic environment. Well, I guess, when it comes to the bottom line - my cut was one of the best in years and that what counts. I'll come back. Pros: haircut more

I'm glad Sasha moved closer to downtown. It's so much easier to get to her! Dragonfly is a cute little place, casual but clean, with lots of windows and plants. \r Sasha's cuts and highlights look beautiful! When I decided to go blonder she honestly explained to me that my hair will be more dry if I do that. I decided to go ahead and be a full on blond anyway. She did an amazing job! We went with a couple of different shades of blond and it looks great. She used to give me a cool razor cut but this time she cut it with sceezors to keep my highlighted ends from splitting. I miss my razor cut a little but this cut looks great too, just more traditional and it keeps my ends healthier. I think Sasha is a great sylist, she trully wants the best for me and I trust her advice. Pros: professionalism more

Best Cut in Austin 3/27/2007

I have been going to Sasha for about 4 years & I can honstly say she is the best stylist I have ever been to! I have short hair & would have to get my hair cut at least once a month-before I started going to Sasha. Now, I can go every 2 months with a little (free) bangtrim in between from Sasha. She does such a great job that no once can tell I haven't had my hair cut in 2 months. She also cuts an amazing bob that is perfect in every way! I refer everyone to her. more

world class quality 3/27/2007

I don't live in Austin any longer and I haven't been to Sasha for almost 7 months. When I got an e-mail sent to her clientele asking us to review her work, I decided to do it. I went to Sasha for almost 3 years and she was the best stylist I've ever had. In a way, I feel I was taking her for granted. Well, in general, I took lots of things for granted when living in Austin. To get a haircut and color of the same quality she does, you've got to spend big $$$ over here (West Coast). I'm talking about get a second job to be able to do your hair kind of money. I wanted to write this review to express my gratitude and also to remind Austinites about what a great city they are living in and how many wonderful, quality things are available without you being overcharged (salons, food, entertainment). I want to wish Sasha the best and I'm sure that with her talent and great personality she'll be able to achieve many wonderful things. more

My personal stylist 3/26/2007

I'm now working on my portfolio and Sasha is helping me a lot. I found her website and immediatelly knew I want her to be my stylist. I know she tries to keep up with new trends. it helps me because I feel, we are on the same page. She has some experiece fixing people up for the camera. I love her hairstyles and I think she is very artistic. I hope i have a good chance to be successful in this industry. I'm glad I found someone who can help me. Try new styles! 3/26/2007

Even my boyfriend was totally impressed with my hair this time. I've been going to Sasah for a while but was always afraid to try new styles. We did trims and little highlights. This time I was ready for a makeover. We put in highlights that are a little chunkier but not too much lighter than my hair. And the lowlights are just a little darker than my natural color. All together it looks way cool! I'm still growing my hair out but she suggested we put in few more layers for movement. Also, she said I could style it with hot rollers and that gives me a look close to round brush (way to hard for me!) Don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and try new stuff! Sometimes professionals know what they are doing. more

Classic and Trendy 3/26/2007

Sasha has asked me to review her work and I'm excited to to that! I'm always bragging about her and some of my friends already became her customers. Sasha has a great sense of style and is very much in touch with what's going on in the world of beauty. I think she is very talented and I wish her a great success. It that is helpful, I would recommend her to those who want a classic-trendy look. Her cuts and colors on me are always so elegant and yet, there is something urban, something up-to-date about them. Great cut 3/25/2007

Sasha does an awsome job on my hair! Getting your haircut with a new stylist is always a gamble. I used to get pretty crappy cuts for as much as $90 and very dicent haircuts for a little under $50. I went to some top of the top stylists and sometimes couldn't tell the difference. I found Sasha on citysearch about 2 years ago when she worked in a different salon. She wasn't anyone famous, but at this point I couldn't trust the fame anymore. I just saw some of the cuts she did on their website and asked for her. Her cuts are very solid and I can see she had some good training. My sister goes to her now and she thinks the same thing. Highlights and cuts that grow out beautifully 3/25/2007

I've always liked Alexandra Ambrosio's hair and that's the look that I've tried to achieve for few years. When I moved to TX, for some reason, I had troubles explaining to hairstylists what I was going for. It looks like this style still hasn't made it here. I would always end up being ""overhighlighted"". I wanted more natural, free looking style and I don't go to the salon but every three months. My roots would end up looking awful though after just 4 weeks because I would be so overdone. I felt people were trying to get me into their chairs too often. They would overbleach me and wouldn't let my hair grow (they said I had to cut it every 5 weeks). A friend of mine recommended Sasha and I finally got what I wanted! I hope I'm not taking business from her by writing this review and revealing her secret for being able to do well-growing highlights and cuts. I don't have to get my hair done but about 4 times a year. My hair is finally longer and the highlights look great even when the roots start show up. Also, she showed me an easier way to style it to get that tossed look:) I get lots of complements. Pros: Great color and cut more

Very pleased 3/24/2007

I found Sasha when she worked at a European Skin Care Salon and Spa. She has been my stylist since then and I have been very pleased with her services. I was not used to a good blowdry after a service and she surprised me with a very beautiful style when I first saw her. Then, I came back for color and hightlilghts and she did a great job again. I like my hair to be natural but I don't like when it makes me look older. I feel she understood me and gave me a great bob with layers and some, she said, ""sun kissed"" highlihgts. I like the new location too but I'll miss getting my eye-brows done in the same appointment. Pros: easy parking Cons: no waxing services more
