As an Italian-native, I am very reluctant to try Italian restaurants here in the U.S., since most offer non-authentic food, of sub-par quality. This restaurant is not only excellent in the quality of the food, but also very authentic. It is very common to eat a variety of game meats, such as wild-boar, rabbit and pheasant. The "game meats ravioli" with mushroom and black truffle sauce are divine. If you want seafood, definitely ask for the "penne in barca" with clams, or order a delicate branzino. The wine list is excellent, although they could offer a wider variety of whites. Desserts are fresh and authentic. Overall, portions range from fair to generous. This is definitely not your typical Italian restaurant. With a diverse and flexible menu, unique northern-italian dishes, a friendly service, Saporissimo promises a delightful dining experience!
