My wife and I had dinner there last night with a Groupon coupon sent to us by our daughter. I checked out the menu on line and was very impressed. Our coupon entitled us to a pre fixe 4 course dinner and a glass of wine. Upon arrival I wasn't thrilled with the place. It was a small home that had been renovated into a restaurant. Although not very pleasing to the eye we went inside to find a very small and crowed dining room. There was barely enough room to walk sideways between tables. The noise level was extremely high and my wife and I could hardly hear each other. Regardless, we were very excited to taste the food. Our waiter was very nice and brought us the pre fixe menu. Although we had a choice of 3 appetizers, which ever one we selected had to be split between us. The desert choice of 2 items also had to be split. This was the first time I ever had a pre fixe meal where you had to split dishes. The appetizer we ordered was fair and consisted of very small portions which we split. My wife's mixed green salad was average. I ordered the Cesar salad which was below par. Both of us ordered the duck. The duck was over cooked and had no skin. We expected a crispy duck skin and medium rare meat. The sides were potato wedges and broccoli. One wedge was under cooked and the other was caramelized. The broccoli was very soft and overcooked. We wanted creme brule, but they were out so we ordered tira misu. It was the worst I had ever eaten. By the way, the glass of wine was only 1/4 full. When asked why, the waiter said that was what came with the menu. Obviously the meal was one of the worst we had ever eaten. That wasn't the greatest insult. The pre fixe cost was discounted to $60. However, I was presented a check stating that the regular price was $125 and the tip was $20. I didn't mind paying the $20 which was 18% as stated on the menu. But for them to tell me the meal we ate was worth $125 was an absolute insult to my intelligence. We have eaten in restaurants throughout South Florida and this was absolutely the worst of the worst. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU EAT ELSE WHERE ESPECIALLY IF YOU BOUGHT A GROUPON COUPON. more

As an Italian-native, I am very reluctant to try Italian restaurants here in the U.S., since most offer non-authentic food, of sub-par quality. This restaurant is not only excellent in the quality of the food, but also very authentic. It is very common to eat a variety of game meats, such as wild-boar, rabbit and pheasant. The "game meats ravioli" with mushroom and black truffle sauce are divine. If you want seafood, definitely ask for the "penne in barca" with clams, or order a delicate branzino. The wine list is excellent, although they could offer a wider variety of whites. Desserts are fresh and authentic. Overall, portions range from fair to generous. This is definitely not your typical Italian restaurant. With a diverse and flexible menu, unique northern-italian dishes, a friendly service, Saporissimo promises a delightful dining experience! more

Hit and a miss. Started with a complimentary warm bun filled with a cheesy center. Delish! Then mozzarella cheese, tomato and arugula. The best cheese I've ever tasted. Ravioli (filled with squash -more like pumpkin) was so so. The reindeer chop was too gamey and a little chewy.\r I like the menu choices and many friends have given the place two thumbs up so we will try it again. more

Perhaps the best desserts in Boca. Exquisite pinenut citrus tart, cloudlike cake, crisp canolli and profiteroles. I will find excuses to come just for dessert. Try not to be put off by awkward tent entrance. Excellent rabbit, with rosemary and thyme infused broth. Menu is flexible, so speak up. The evening we went, we were treated to an interesting crunchy, salty, sweet ricotta and gougére amouse bouche. They also had really excellent bread, thin crisp crust, soft, almost frothy crumb. more
