My fiance and I wanted to use his grandmother's ring as my engagement ring. We set out to ask several jewelers what our options were in terms of cleaning and polishing the ring, or re-setting the diamonds, if needed. When we arrived at Santisi and Bove, we barely got a ""hello."" One of the men there gruffly asked if we had called earlier, and we replied that we had not. We tried to explain our situation and one of the men interrupted, saying there wasn't anyone there to work on the rings, but maybe he could find someone upstairs. He rushed off while the other gentleman started measuring my ring size. We were then told that there was someone who could work on the ring and the gentleman was very overly eager to take my ring from me and rush it upstairs. They never really explained what would be done to the ring, they just seemed like they were rushing to get us in and out. We explained that we were still searching out our options, and we would like to check some other places. The guy yelled at us ""well I wish you had told me that before I went upstairs"" Disgusted by this man's behavior, we promptly left. He slammed the door behind us, and began talking to his co-worker about us. They were completely rude, poor communicators, and horrible business people. They completely neglected the sentimental value of the ring. They do not listen.
Pros: none: horrible experience, they are rude, do not listen and even yelled at my fiance and I
Cons: Everything about the experience was poor
