Editorial review from Citysearch 10/2/2013

Highly Recommend Salon Euphoria. I can't say enough about how happy I am. Sandy really went above and beyond for me. My hair took ALOT of work to get it the way I wanted it! But she really accomplished my goal! I would recommend her to my friends and family! more

Worst haircut of my life! 12/3/2011

The worst haircut of my life! I am a 30 year old German man, who stays in Boston for one year. This was my first haircut in Boston. I wanted it to be good so I checked the internet to find a good place. And I ended at Salon Euphoria. They were so unfriendly. I can`t tell you why - maybe my English was not perfect or because they prefer to serve women or they don`t like customers at all.. I don`t know. I don't complain about waiting 20 minutes allthough having an appointment or the dirty floor with cutted hair everywhere. The lady washed my hair in 1 minute - it was just about making it wet. Then she cutted my wet hair in about 3-4 minutes, put gel in the wet hair without asking. And then she said its finished. I had wet hair, with gel in it (i have very thin hair, so I use wax. With the gel the hair clumped together.. it was ridiculous. The outside temperature was 39 more

Amazing, Amazing, Amazing!!!! 5/29/2009

Andrea gave me the exact cut that I wanted. I am so tired of hairstylist asking me to give up my long hair, but she was different. She gave me ""movement"" and that made all the difference! She gave me lots of useful tips on volume, how to prevent split ends, etc...I guess you need to go in there to find out... Also, the receptionist and hair person (I apologize I do not know the appropriate title) are nice, friendly and professional! \r \r I highly recommend going to Salon Euphoria..great location if you work in Boston, great people if you are tired of snobs, and great haircut if you are tired of people messing up your hair.\r \r I hope this helps :.) Pros: Great Haircut, Great customer service, Bravo overall!!!!! Cons: Nada!! more

Great Salon Experience, Beautiful Haircut at a Reasonable Price 9/11/2008

I was so impressed on so many levels with this salon. The atmosphere is relaxed, the space is bright and well decorated. The staff is friendly and warm without being pretentious. I was most impressed with my stylist, Andrea. I met Andrea for a consultation in advance of scheduling my appointment for a haircut. She really listens to what you are saying and has some great advice as well. When I returned for my haircut, she was completely focused on giving me a great cut and very detail oriented. The best part is that after years of going to Newbury St. stylists and paying a small fortune ,Salon Euphoria is much more reasonable and efficient. I was back at work in a mere 40 minutes. I would highly recommend this Salon as a great experience and a great value. I think I've found my new place! Pros: Really talented stylist, great atmosphere more

Great spa! 7/10/2008

I love this place! Everyone is so nice and the atmosphere can't be beat. I tried it out for waxing when I first moved to Boston because it's near my office. I have had Laura do my waxing several times since and I just made a hair appointment there. I scheduled it for 5pm on Friday, knowing that it would be a great place to end my week and have a glass of wine, good conversation with the staff. more

Friendly, Comfortable Salon Scene 3/31/2008

I've been going to Euphoria now for nearly a year. The receptionist is always super friendly and happy to make you feel comfortable with a drink/snack after she takes your coat. I only use the waxing services, but wouldn't hesitate to have other hair/spa services performed there. Laura is great at what she does, she shapes your brows exactly the way you tell her. She makes great conversation and makes you feel like one of your girlfriends is waxing you. \r \r I would never step to stay that she is unprofessional as previously stated in another posting. She's human. Pros: Convenient location for Financial District Workers more

Best Wedding Make-up Artist 11/30/2007

I contacted Laura Blaikie, the esthetician and make-up artist, at Salon Euphoria to do my makeup on my wedding day. She did an amazing job! She does very natural makeup, yet it's flawless and very ""pretty""; not harsh or fake looking.\r She did a trail run, and even did personal makeup shopping for me so that I could use these products on my own in the future. (Laura does travel with all her own products, as well.)\r I met with her at Salon Euphoria, but she also mentioned that she will travel to a bride's hotel or home, as well. She also did the makeup for my entire wedding party, including my mom and MOG. I highly recommend her. She's very talented! more

Great haircut! 11/19/2007

I have been a loyal Euphoria fan for years. Patricia Amaral cuts my hair so it looks great and stays looking great for longer than is economically beneficial for her. She is quick to point this out. The atmosphere is cheerful and lively, and they serve a variety of snacks and beverages that would make me not want to go back to work. Seriously, my appearance is critical to my business, and Patricia really understands this. I don't go anywhere else. Pros: I look great - and have fun getting there more

The wedding photos are amazing. 7/2/2007

I was married this spring.\r When ever I show people my wedding photos they ask "" who did your hair""\r so the props go to Patricia Amaral @ Salon Euphoria, Boston.\r She came to the hotel ,and I was able to enjoy the morning of my wedding with my freinds and family without the hassle of going to the salon.\r more

Oasis with great hair care 6/19/2007

Andrea, the owner of Salon Euphoria, has suceeded in her mission. The Salon is tranquil and inviting. There are always drinks and nibbles waiting. They are always on time AND the hair care is wonderful. I needed a tricky dye job and they mastered it perfectly. Also, they are always on time and get me out the door efficiently. A++! Pros: Skill, atmosphere, service, and value Cons: I can't spend all of my free time there! more

THE BEST HAIRCUT IN TOWN 5/16/2007

Best Salon in Boston! 5/15/2007

The staff is very friendly! the salon is located in such a great area (just off the beaten path), which allows you the pleasure of just relaxing while your there. I have had the pleasure of Patricia to be the one who cuts and colors my hair and she is Excellent! The prices are definately reasonable and would highly recommend this salon to everyone! Salon Euphoria is a five star salon in book any day of the week. Pros: Upbeat , energenic staff, super friendly Cons: n/a more

Great Salon - great people 5/10/2007

I had an excellent experience at Salon Euphoria. Andrea is a great stylist, Laurie does excellent work. Friendly, pleasant staff, great location, nice atmosphere, price is right.. These people make me look and feel good. I can highly recommend this salon. Pros: skilled staff, great location Cons: none that I'm aware of more

defintley dont get your hopes up 4/29/2007

as someone first hand who can say who has been in the beauty business, I was excited to find this salon out of conveinence...I'll first assure you the owner is very realistic, fair and nice (nothing is tested on animals in salon, supports pro-woman run business) however, I feel the other employees there esp. the esthetician Laura ?is riding the fine line of being unprofessional...shooting her mouth off, this and that..Not to be mean, but I dont care about peronal lives and the services that were provided are mediocre... also getting a straight awnser out of this place on the phone was a part-time job... I'll be honest, very dissapointed..so overall, I am happy to never come back to salon euphoria, though it's inside is beautiful, again.ever. Pros: conveinence to train, shopping Cons: some of the staff... more

Perfect Beautification Place 3/27/2007

I have been a client at Salon Euphoria for over 2 years now and I just love it! It's so easy to make an appointment whether for hair, waxing or facials (which are the best!) and you get the Newbury St. experience for so much less! The atmosphere is relaxing, the service is impeccable and I love how convenient the location is! A total A+++++ in my book! Pros: Services Available, Pricing, Ambience more

Love it! 3/17/2007

I have been a client of Salon Euphoria for over 2 years now, and I highly recommend it. The staff are professional, down-to-earth, and great at what they do! I was shocked by the bad review. I find it extremely hard to believe that they would offer EVERYONE a glass of wine, and exclude ONE person. Also, the staff are so ""REAL"", that if I really wanted a glass of wine, I would either ask for one, or pour it myslef, and they would be more than happy to oblidge.\r Kelly has cut and colored my long, naturally curly hair for 2 yrs, and I love it every time. I always get compliments on it, as well. Laura (esthetician) waxes my eyebrows, and I feel that she truely does the best brows in Boston. She has shaped my brows to perfection. She helped me grow out my over-tweezed, un-even brows- even showed me how to fill in the patchy spots with make-up until they eventually grew back. She saved my life for my wedding!! She also gives an amazing facial. \r Overall, I love Salon Euphoria, and always feel special and happy when I am there. more

Newbury Street hair without the attitude 3/15/2007

I love Salon Euphoria! I've always had a wonderful experience there and have never once had a bad haircut. I think this is due to the fact that my stylist, Patricia, is very honest about advising clients about which styles work best for them (as are Andrea and everyone else who works there). I wear my hair in a very edgy short pixie cut that can look disastrous if not done correctly, so Patricia is certainly a very skilled stylist. \r \r I am quite shocked at the comments made below about Andrea being rude and that Salon Euphoria only caters to the ""six figure salary"" crowd--I'm an elementary school teacher and have always been treated very warmly and made to feel welcome by all of the staff there. And no, I don't have a trust fund and have on occasion even *gasp!* showed up in flip-flops and shorts for my haircuts. Pros: Friendly, skilled stylists and no pressure to buy products Cons: parking, not open on weekends more

Surprisingly disappointing. Classy look without the class. 2/22/2007

Upon reading the reviews on this site, as well as being referred by an associate, I made an appointment for a hair cut at this salon. This was a mistake. The experience I had at Salon Euphoria was incredibly disappointing, and downright insulting. The stylist, Andrea, pulled my hair so hard when she was straightening it that my head was shaking. She also snagged my earring while combing my hair. She never apologized, and she didn't give me a chance to say anything. In fact, she hardly acknowledged my existence. She never said a word to me, other than asking me what I wanted done with my hair. She carried on conversation with others in the salon, and the other stylists were engaging in the usual small talk which is customary when one goes into get a hair cut, etc. Other people were offered wine, I was not. I generally do not leave reviews for places of establishment, but this experience was the single most rude, antisocial behavior I have ever seen at a salon. I would have been better off going to a mall. The service would have been better, and I could easily have received the same generic haircut she gave me. This is not an exaggeration by any means. I am writing this for the benefit of others who use this service. A salon experience is one which people look forward to, and it is a sad, sad shame to go into it feeling that way, and leaving feeling pretty much shocked at such abuse. Given that there are good reviews, I would imagine that this salon only caters to a certain crowd, so if you are a hard-working, well-dressed person that does not make six figures, definitely go somewhere else. No one deserves such treatment, much less having to pay for it. more

Fantastic Place 1/29/2006

Salon Euphoria is a great place to relax, unwind, and leave looking great. The staff is always helpful, and has managed to re-book me at the last minute when I'm running late. You won't find ""attitude"" here, but you will find people willing to take the time to listen to what you want from your hair cut and color, and then tailor it to fit you. Andrea's haircuts look great when you leave -- and a few days later, when you're running late, and ran out the door with wet hair. Likewise, my color looks so natural that people are shocked to hear I'm not really a blonde! The people who work at Euphoria also give you styling tips on request, so you can re-create the look at home. Best of all, they never push you to buy their products, but are happy to offer suggestions when asked. more

User review by tiffanyfuzzer 1/15/2006

Salon Euphoria is clean and beautiful, and the staff is friendly. Unfortunately my haircuts have been poor. The picture of the cut we agree on is never the cut I leave with, as my stylist ends up doing her own version of the cut. And she uses minimal to no styling products, so my hair looks awful by the time I pay the bill. If you want a basic medium to long layers trim, you'll be fine here. But if you want something more fun, funky, or complex, I'd go elsewhere. Pros: schedule availability, sanitary Cons: quality, no product use, poor street parking more
