I have had my hair cut a handful times with Stephanie and have nothing but good things to say. First of all, she makes getting a hair cut easy and accommodating, like getting a cut from a good friend. This is especially appreciated when you’re a guy with long hair who can be intimidated by the salon experience. Stephanie got to know me and my hair instead of just hacking away and was able to take my idea on what I wanted and what my personal style was to put together an awesome and accomplished look that was just what I envisioned/ wanted. Now when I see her, i just trust her to do what she does best and I always get a great cut and a good experience. more

I have known Stephanie for a long time and I can say she is the best person that has ever cut my hair! She knows exactly how to cut and color your hair to make you look your best. I always feel at ease when Stephanie cut my hair because I knew no matter what it was going to come out looking fantastic. I have very long hair but Stephanie always knew how to keep it long but also giving it a cut that made my hair look healthier. She is great with color and I comes up with creative ideas when you do not know what to get done to your hair but want something different. Not only is she great at hair but she is very entertaining and will be able to connect with you even if it is your first time ever going to see her. She genuinely cares about everyone she comes in contact with and I think that is what truly makes her stand out from your typical hairdresser. I would recommend her to everyone, she is that amazing. more

~Excellent Haircut By Stephanie~ 10/18/2011

I had an awesome experience at Salon V. Not only did the decor make me feel warm and cozy but the staffs were all so friendly. My stylist was Stephanie, she was very sweet and knowledgeable. She understood exactly what I wanted and made it happen. I have very thick straight hair, which shows every flaw if it wasn't cut perfectly, but it was flawless even after I washed it myself at home. That's when you know it's a great cut! I am so happy with my haircut, it looks super healthy and on top of that, my boyfriend likes it too! I am definitely going back to Salon V for Stephanie when it's time for a trim. more

Stephanie has cut my hair several times and always does an amazing job. She really listens to what you want..asks questions and genuinely wants to give you an awesome hair cut and experience. Stephanie is very easy to talk to, which makes getting your hair cut a good and comfortable time. I have short hair and not all hair stylists know how to make it look good but Stephanie definitely does! She confident in her work and has always made me happy after seeing my hair cut! Reliably Amazing 4/22/2011

I have lived in the city for 6 years and I spent a good half of that time looking for the perfect haircut. I found it at Salon V. The first time I walked in the stylist listened to my long list of complaints about my dull, flat style and said immediately "I know exactly what we have to do." He completely transformed my style and look with a single cut! Ever since I have been hooked. I have had every stylist in the salon since that first cut and I am thrilled every time I walk out their door. more

Best Salon in New York 3/29/2011

I went looking for a salon to get my hair cut and came upon Salon V with my wife while walking in the Village. We walked in and saw one of the hairstylists cutting a guys hair and thought she was doing a good job. I made an appt with Meg. When I arrived I was treated like I had been there before, like family. Meg took her time and spoke with me about my hair and then did a fantastic job shaping and cutting it. It was the best cut I had ever had. Five Stars. Thank you Meg. more

Candice is great! 6/7/2010

For the most part, I've had excellent experiences here over the past few years. It really depends on the stylist you get. I had decided to try another salon to save a little money (see my review on Liz Russell Aveda Salon) and compleyely regretted it. I ended up running back to Salon V to correct a very bad highlight job. It my first time working with Candice, but she was excellent and won't be the last. I can't recommend her enough for Blonde color! Cons: Slightly Pricey more

I've been to a lot of salons before in the past and i havent found anyone as good as Traci. I called the salon and let them know of my previous bad experiences and they suggested i see Traci, one of their color specialists. After an in depth consultation, she helped me to understand how hair & color works. One of the staff girls even offered me some wine, GRATIS! Traci then gave me the most amazing highlights ever!
