I had a little trouble finding the salon because it was on the second level of the building and they didn’t really have a visible sign that tells you were to go. I had a few pictures on my phone that I’d found on Pinterest of hairstyles I liked. I wasn’t 100% sure what I wanted…my ONLY request when I sat in that chair was NO BUN! I made it quite clear that I DID NOT want a bun in my hair. ""Anything but that!"" were my exact words. I also let her know that I was looking for a salon to do my bridesmaid’s hair for my wedding in April. Well, I sit down and she starts doing my hair. The whole time she’s singing in my ear, literally! The radio was on and she was singing along to every single song. I was half crazy by the time she finished. I wanted my hair pulled back with volume in the front. What I ended up with was a lumpy tangled mess, something I could’ve done better myself. In the back of my hair was a braid wrapped around-you guessed it-A BUN! I was in shock! I’m not the type of person to tell someone I hated the style and make a scene in the salon. But honestly, it was horrendous. Then she says to me “This is just a practice run for the wedding, we’re gonna make the front of your hair less messy and maybe do a little bit more with the back on your wedding day.” I felt a little better when she called it a 'practice run' because I figured she wouldn’t charge me for a style-NOPE!! Had to pay $35.00 for a crappy hairstyle and A BUN in the back of my head! It’s a good thing my sister-in-law was able to salvage the hairstyle before I went to do my wedding dress fitting. Imagine if it was on my Wedding Day? It would’ve been a complete disaster! Needless to say, Salon Unique will NOT be anywhere near mine or my bridesmaid’s hair on my wedding day. more

I have been going to Christi for several years now and she always makes me look fabulous! The atmosphere is always fun and energetic. Brittany & Amanda are also fabulous. more

I'm not even sure where to begin. Four months ago, Christi started taking care of my hair for me. I had been searching and searching and searching for a hairstylist for over a year. I was so ugly by the time I got to her. I had received so many ugly haircuts and too many colors that just ended up looking blah and brassy and it never covered my gray. When I sat down in Christi's chair she had a plan for me. She did such a good job guiding me to what would look best on me rather than me telling her what I thought she should do. I have so much gray hair and I am so self conscience of it. Christi recommended that we put some blonde on the top to camouflage the gray. I was a little nervous about it because I never considered myself to be any kind of blonde person. Well, here I am 4 months later and I look fabulous. She was right, the gray is not nearly as obvious when it starts to grow out. She helps me to keep my look updated and fresh. I tend to get bored easily. She always shows me how to style my hair and shows me what products to use so that I can do it myself. She really takes good care of me. Oh and another thing. She always takes care of my brows too. That I go in for every two weeks. Until I met her, that was another horror story that I won't get into. Christi is quite the gem. I really don't know what i would do without her. I love that girl. I have gone from looking dumpy and frumpy to fabulous all because of her. I just can't say enough about her. I send all of my friends to her. We are a group of thirty somethings that just got stuck in an ugly rut. BUT NOT ANYMORE!!! Pros: They use only REDKEN products and color Cons: I really wish Christi could fix my hair for me everyday! more
