We have been to the salon before and we loved our stylist ! She was great and was very receptive to our requests. Unfortunately she moved recently to a different salon in Birmingham. We still decided to stick with the salon. We had scheduled and confirmed an appointment for my wife's hair cut. This was imperative to be done that day as she had a job interview in 2 days. I was going to pick my wife up and bring her to the salon. As I was to leave my work a few minutes late, I asked my wife to call and let them know that she will be running a few minutes behind. The lady at the desk said that she did not think it was going to be possible to do it. I then spoke to the lady myself and told her why it is important. I told her that they should not make a big deal out of this as we have been there early the other appointments and have had to wait for half an hour to an hour. She said that there is nothing she can do. I told the lady that thisi is extremely unprofessional especially because sometimes delays are possible and can happen on either side. She then started saying that I was unprofessional to miss the appointment, C'mon, gimme a break !!! We reached only 5 minutes late !!!! And they cancelled our appointment !! The stylist (Rebecca) came out and said she cannot do anything about it and all her appointments are double booked. I was very surprised with this. How can u confirm an appointment, and then crucify your customer because they are 5 minutes late. I am a physician and I see my patients even when they are 30 minutes to an hour late. I always think that if they never had to make it, they would never have come ! The fact that they tried makes me want to help them in anyway I can. I don't think that this attitude is going to take this salon far. That desk girl needs to get some serious training in hospitality and customer service. I visited Salon Tru originally to buy some of my favorite shampoo, Aveda Shampure. I picked up a pricing card and saw they had great prices for haircuts. I made an appointment with Kate, and was very pleased. I have hard to cut thick, curly hair, and she did a fine job. I'm seeing her again Friday! more

I went to try this salon after reading the reviews and I was so impressed. My stylist was super friendly and knew right what I was talking about. She did a great job. I have been to salons in the past and sometimes it is so uneasy. I had a great experience and I plan to go back. I also think there prices were reasonable. I think it was $28 for a cut and dry. more

I just had an appointment on Saturday with Beth and I was impressed! I was scared to try a new stylist as I've been going to the same person for 2 years. Having recently moved, I needed to find a salon that was closer to my house. After looking online for about a week and asking around, I decided I'd give Salon Tru a try. There was no problem getting my appointment for Saturday afternoon, even though I called Saturday morning. My cut was wonderful and Beth really got my style! I'd highly recommend this salon to anyone who has high expectations for service and style but doesn't want to pay an obscene amount of money for it. more

I think salon tru is wonderful. Everyone is really nice and helpful. I have had a few different people cut and highlight my hair. They were all wonderful. The only downside it is hard to get a last minute appointment. It is in the same price range as other salons I have been to. more

I have been a client of Salon Tru's owner, Roxanne for years. She is very talented and really listens to her clients needs. The salon is beautiful, very clean and restful. They don't overdo the music like so many salons and they never make the clients feel rushed. Only once have I ever been dissatisfied with a cut and it was because I had made a poor choice, Roxanne was more than willing to make the repairs and didn't make me feel at all awkward for complaining.
