Salon Prive'

Last Friday, I experienced Salon Prive for the first time. Shirley, the owner and my hair dresser spent close to 3 hours transforming my color damaged hair into silken tresses. For every step in the process, she clearly explained to me what she was doing and how the service would benefit my hair. Oh and I MUST mention how elegant, clean, light and airy the space was. I felt somewhat as if I had stepped into ""hair fairyland""... I live in Oakland and had to drive to Alamo (30 min) for the service. The trek, though, was well worth it! Immediately as you walk in to this professional yet comfortable environment you are calmed by the relaxing music. Such a fabulous vibe. I personally went in to get hair extensions done by Shirley, the owner, and let me tell you, these aren't just extensions, these are AMAZING quality extensions called Great Lengths. Before, I had a short A-Line that was a little grown out and Shirley was able to give me an exotic long hair look (I like to think I look like Kim Kardashian LOL). If you didn't know me you would have no idea I got extensions because they are exactly matched to the color of my real hair and blended amazing. They are Keratin bonded onto my hair individually which takes patience, talent, and an eye for styling. And that is exactly what Shirley has. I would call her an artist, anything less would be an understatement. I have only had them for a day and four of my friends have already told me they wanted Shirley's number and they are very interested in going to her. This salon has such a variety of options that can't be beat. With the highest quality in everything, this salon is absolutely exquisite. I will be referring anyone and everyone I know. more

Cortney did a beautiful job on my hair. She had great suggestions for a cut that suited my lifestyle. I have many options for how I can wear my hair and still look fantastic, no matter how little time I have to prep. I love the highlights. Cortney also did a fantastic job on my 12-year-old daughter's hair. She is very good at teaching her how to take care of her hair, and has great suggestions on helping keep it healthy and stylish. more

I've been driving around Alamo checking out salons. I'd have to say.. of all, this was the prettiest. I pulled up the salon website on my phone. Was quite surprised they have a mobile website for the tech savvy, that recognizes when a smart phone is being used. I gave the salon 5 stars for that alone. It is so difficult to navigate some websites from your phone, when the website is not set up for cell phone use. Since I was able to navigate the site, I was able to see their stylist list. Too little space to write, too much to say! I can't begin to express how much I enjoy coming to this salon! It exudes elegance, and everyone makes me feel special. I am lucky enough to be one of the owner's clients. Shirley is the best! She always translates my unusual requests into beautiful and stunning results. My hair is gorgeous, thanks to her! I've gotten natural looking permanent make up, esthetic treatments, Brazilian Blowout hair straightening, and color, to name only a few services from there. I would highly recommend Salon Prive!
