End of the year field trip. I'm under restrictions for the most part with things like this, so I was in the middle, not paddling, with one of my teachers and my guidance counselor. It was totally amusing. We were one of six Canoes. The other canoe we were attacking at the beginning was full of three of my closest friends that go to the school with me and have become a huge part of my life.. It was an amazing trip and our two canoes stayed behind to enjoy the time and just goof off while the younger kids made it a seven mile race, haha. We had fun, it really was great.\r more

We have done the Saco many times thru Saco Bound. These trips have range from overnights with my buddies to day trips with the family. Saco Bound has always been great to us. Yes on the water the weekends are very busy in July/August and it typically a younger crowed. But in general everyone is pretty cool and just looking to kick back. That said any time you have alot of people in a small area, there is always a bad apple that everyone remembers. We have never let this ruin our trip.\r more

Stopped at a pull off, walked down to the rivers edge,and stuct our toes in the COLD mountain river. Skipped rocks, played in the river and basked on the rocks at rivers edge. Enjoyed 2+ hours of Natures Finery.....very tranquil.\r more

We rented a canoe for an easy trip down the river. Prices were reasonable and we had a blast, but I will mention a couple of things... The river is shallow in places, rocky in others with fallen trees just below the surface. If you haven't taken a canoe down a river before, I suggest you google some canoe steering basics as none were provided and it took about 30 minutes to figure out what we were doing. There were quite a few characters around the campgrounds, so just keep paddling.\r more

The great Saco river , crystal clear river that runs through the white mts of NH . Pull over and take a swim , break out the fishing pole , pack a picnic basket . Yep this is a river frozen in time . A great place to spend a summer day ! A nice place to have a picnic ..... The water is soooo clear ! The waterfalls that grace the walls of this river will amaze you ! These guys are great! Took the fam for a three hour, 7 mile float. The river is so clear and there are beaches everywhere. The staff was courteous and well informed on condition and what was best for canoeing with the kids. They personally fit each child with the appropriate sized life vest. Nice touch. Definitely be back.\r more

These guys are great! Purchased a high end life preserver from them last year and when I took it for the first time this year I noticed the zipper was broken. They replaced the entire life preserver with newer model at not charger. Customer service like this is hard to finde these days.....Kuddos to the staff at Saco Bound!\r more

I picked up the kayak yesterday at the truck terminal and it was in very good condition. It came packed very well from Johnson. Cardboard, bubble wrap, and encased in a full plastic bag. Good packing job. The trucking company wrote on it in marker ""No Forklift"" which might be an addition for Johnson to add with a label. I hope to assemble the rudder this weekend.
