I observed the compassionate care of Rosary Hill Hospice two times. My step-father-in-law and brother-in-law both received exceptional medical care during their final stages of terminal cancer.
More importantly their dignity and privacy were always taken into consideration. If you are visiting when medical or personal hygiene care is administered the attendants will ask you to leave the room for a few moments while they change the bedclothes, bathe, and change your loved one, preserving their dignity and your last memories of them. One floor is for men and the other is for women. The cleanliness is impeccable throughout the facility.
To those that think they can handle the duty of caring for their loved ones at home during this difficult time better than any home could possibly provide with any degree of compassion-you're wrong!
There is no better way to care for your loved one. Even if you could keep up with the daunting task of tracking the medications, you could not possibly give comparable care at home.
You may experience a strong spiritual presence any time you visit Rosary Hill. I did and it was some-what comforting to know they were getting the best care possible. Having their help allowed me have presence of mind and to spend quality time with my family instead of rushing around them being totally overwhelmed during their last days.
The are no adequate words to express my gratitude for the outstanding compassionate care I observed and no monetary gifts were accepted during this painfully stressful time except for a heartfelt thank you.
Forever grateful-John B., New Jersey
