My girlfriend has been telling me that if I wanted something different to see charles at the studio in jenkintown, i did & me & my cousin went to have our hair cut by charles, WOW I never new my hair had curls, I thought it was frizz, I now have long beautiful curls {thanks to charles, showing me how to work with my hair.] We get stopped all the time it's amazing, We love our hair, thanks to charles. I am new to the area, {NY}, I've been looking for a stylist for 6 months, without success, I was googling around to find anyone who has a clue about curly hair, finally, Studio Artur (which was not easy to find, because of the listing, It's Rosa Martinez for Studio Artur), but if your reading this you have experienced the problems in finding this diamond on West Ave. I had the pleasure of having an appt. with Chas, (as he was refered to), by far the BEST curly hair cutter I'v met, & my color is great. Charles asked me to say something nice about him & the Salon if I was happy, & if when I did my hair myself and wasn't OK to call him personally. i have been reading all of the reviews about charles and his fab work, he's been doing my hair, my family, my friends, my co-workers for quite some time, he's is by far the best, i fortunitly don't have to search the reviews, but i'm happy to read that everyone is just as thrilled as i have always been. more

A couple of weeks ago I was in the produce store picking up some veggies, as I was shopping around I couldn't help but to notice this guy really checking out the fruits & veggies before he put them in his basket, I thought to myself [must be really picky], we both checked out at the same time and there I met Charles, 2 weeks later I'm in his chair, for what has to be the best haircut & color I ever had, go figure, in a produce store, I met what I thought at first was a finicky guy turned out to be my new most fav hairdresser, you never know who's standing next to you sometimes. I was strolling around west ave in jenkintown,& stopped by the studio at 728, as i was looking thru the window, a man came out & asked if he could be of any assistant. i told him my unhappyness with my couple year search for some one who could understand me, what i would like my hair to look like, he informed me he had a cancell and 45 mins to kill,i said yeah! it cost me 60 bucks, but it was the best money i've spent in a long time. charles all i can say is your great thank you so much, i'm yours Pros: the best by far Cons: if you think attention is bad ???????? more

I am a 28 year old designer, living in the city, I have beeen seeing chas since I was a teen, I wouldn""t go to anyone else, and I've gone for long stretches without getting my hair done, a perk of a ponytail, I saw chas this week, running late as usual,and he was busy with a highlight,& his next waiting, ""oh no i'm in trouble i thought"" while his color was was processing, he consulted with his next appointment, sent her back for a shampoo, asked me what i was looking for , & i said a total change, like 6 inches off and a complete new look, [not enough time ?], he had me flip my hair over, and in what seemed like no time began pulling a edward sizzzer hand on me, my hair was flying everwhere, i was a little nervous, & asked him does he usually cut hair upside down, he said he saves this for special times of need. When i flipped my hair up he flicked across the bottom, ran a flat iron over my hair, 1-2-3- I looked HOT, I'm heading to the beach this weekend, it memorial day, for tons of fun, with a great new look, I didn't even tell my boyfriend i was cutting my hair off,I don't know how he does it, but Chas is the BEST, time and time again.Your in great hands with chas. i had the pleasure of meetig charles at the studio this day, i googled up hair salons in jenkintown and found the best of philly and charles, i am a hair friek, i just had a baby [9 months old] and i felt old with my looks, this man took me from a don't care to a wow i love the way i look, i can't believe my color, it's fantastic, and my haircut is nothing i've never had before, by far the best in my 30 years, my husband loves it and so do i. charles you are fab. i love it , i love it , you're the the best. don't go anywhere, ie. calif ! thank you so much. see you next month for that frizz cure, i'm looking forward to it. and see you again. I HAVE BEEN A CHARLES SUCCESS FOR A COUPLE OF YEARS, LAST WEEK I WAS IN A SITUATION THAT MADE ME 45 LATE MINUTES LATE FOR MY APPOINTMENT, CHARLES AS ALWAYS SQUIZZZED ME IN BETWEEN HIS SCHUDULED APPTS. AS I WAS WAITING FOR MY COLOUR TO PROCESS, I COULDN'T HELP BUT TO LISTEN IN ON HIS NEXT APPT. SAYING THAT SHE FOUND HIM FROM GOOGLE, SHE SAID SHE FOUND SO MANY GOOD THINGS ABOUT HIM, THAT SHE HAD TO TRY HIM, HE WAS SO BUSY, BUT WAS VERY COOL EVEN UNDER PRESSER , I SAID A PRAYER TO GOD, TO HELP HIM AND ME, I REALLY WANTED A GOOD HAIRSTYLE, A LITTLE SELFISH, BUT I DID, GOD ANSWERED ME WITH HIS NEXT APPT. MOOVING TO A LATTER HOUR, WHICH GAVE ME A EXTRA HALF HOUR, AND AGAIN WHAT A SUCCESS, I ASKED GOD TO GIVE ME THE HAIRSTYLE THAT HE HAD TO OFFER, AND HE GAVE ME CHARLES, COLOUR, CUT ,STYLE , A COMPLETE PACKAGE. I BELIEVE THE LORD HAS A HAND IN EVERYTHING WE DO, HE HAS GIVEN ME CHARLES, I PRAYED FOR HIM TO HELP ME, BECAUSE HE WAS SO BEHIND, AND AS ALWAYS HE DID, YOU HAVE TO BELIEVE, GOD WILL ANSWER YOUR CALL, EVEN WHEN IT COMES TO YOU HAIR. I was recommened to Charles by a couple of my friends for some time, but I was really happy with my stylist of several years, well I had I very important affair to attend and my stylist was on vacation, as I was in panic, my friends reminded me about Charles, I took the chance, and made the appt. To my suprise, to put it lightly, I was blown away, I've never, & I really mean never have seen my hair look so good, my haircut is like something out of a magizine, & my color, something he called panel coloring, [something like that] is just beautiful, I've never been stopped so many times, by strangers asking me who did my hair. I've never been happier, my only regret is I didn't listen to my friends a long time ago. Charles asked that if I was really happy with my hair to say something nice about his work, and the salon. Rosa is the best hair stylist ever, hand down. I have been going to her for over 6 years and she always knows what is best for me. She is extremely talented at color and always cuts my naturally wavy hair in a way that it looks great straight or curly.
