BEWARE OF THIS BUSINESS!!!! Typical used car salesman Complaint on Ron’s classic cars of TN Ron's Classic Cars 9631 Dayton Pike,Soddy Daisy,TN To all future customers of Ron's classic cars. Do Your homework and get everything in writing with Ron Lane of Ron's Classic cars in Soddy Daisy TN. After he got my money for a car I purchased he forgot what customer service is all about. He made many claims on the car that were not true . He told me it was a 427/540 HP engine, I put it on a dyno and it only got 256 HP at the rear wheels, the casting numbers on the engine indicate it was a 1972 402 CI engine. He advertised a very nice are filter with 2 air input ducts, he delivered a very small air filter with no air input ducts. he advertised it as a top quality show car, it may have been 10 or 15 years ago. He advertised that the car came with mirrors to view the under carriage, never delivered them. He said it had square port heads, they are oval port. He said it had a posi Ford rear end with 4:10 gears, it is a ford but it has 2:80 and is not a posi. He said the car was a number 1, I would give it a 3. Lots of rusted parts on the car, it appears it was keep outside for a long time. I had it inspected by a so called pro (NOT), Ron gave me his phone number, my mistake, I should have gone with a nationwide inspection service or inspect the car myself, I live 1400 miles from the car. The transmission was shot, had to be rebuilt for $700. To put a posi rear end in it will be another $600. Hood has paint dings in it. At one time it had a holly card., it was delved with a Weber card. Several other small things wrong with the car, to numerous to list. To make the car as advertised it will cost about $10,000. I thought he was a good guy and a man of his word, he ended his ad with ""Thanks, and God Bless"". He answered my complaints with ""do not be a cry baby"" this appears to be his answer to every complaint. No way to operate a business. I would give him and his business ZERO stars if I could. Buyers Beware...Do Your Homework and get it in writing. and get all your needed paperwork before you give him ANY MONEY Signed, A Very Disappointed customer. April 2012 more
