If you do not want to know about your pregnancy, want only the care - go to Dr.Romero. She does not talk, does not spend time on your problems. On your visit, she will go through the report while walking into room; asks you do you have any questions while signing the report; opens the door without waiting for you to talk. You should start talking immediately otherwise she will leave the room! This is what happened during my three visits. Now I made a wise decision-changing my doctor. I seriously dont understand what is going on. Is she doing free service? come on, I am paying heavy bill on you but you dont have time to stop by to explain what is going on in my big belly???!!! Dont bother to ask how am I doing??!! Doesnt matter how knowledge you are but know the meaning of ""caring"" as a physician. Just asking ""do you have any questions"" feels like talking to a walmart staff. more

******DO NOT GO TO DR. ROMERO****** I had my first visit with her in Nov 05 when I found out I was pregnant. I had a miscarriage in Dec 05 and she recommended a d&c which was fine. Since then, I have been every year for my well woman and a ""pre-conception"" visit. I was told it was ok to try to concieve.... over 3 years later and my husband and I still dont have any kids. I've gone in to see her about 4 times to try to figure out what is wrong... she never did any test just pushed meds... CLOMID to be exact and it did not work. I went in after i took the clomid and nothing... she told me ""its just not ment to be right now"". I scheduled an appointment with another dr and made it clear to her that I was not happy and that I would put negative reviews anywhere possible. Pros: NICE OFFICE STAFF, NICE OFFICE Cons: HORRIBLE DR, VERY RUDE, DOES NOT CARE ABOUT PATIENTS more

Dr. Romero was recommended to me by a friend, and she was my doctor for my first child. I had such a terrible experience with her, there is absolutely no way I would go back to her, and I would NOT recommend her to a new patient. To give her office some credit, it was always very clean, and the nurses and tech were always very nice. Thats about it though. The woman who handled the accounts never got my billing right. They ended up owing me because I had been overcharged, but I eventually gave up trying to get reimbursed because it was such a hassle. Dr. Romero has terrible bedside manners. She was always very short with me, and never explained anything unless stopped her as she was rushing out of the door to ask her a question. She always seemed put off, like I was inconveniencing her. When I delivered, she showed up and was pretty harsh with me in terms of 'encouraging me' to deliver. She gave me a completely unecessary third degree episiotomy. I ended up having to go back to her office 4 times over the next 3 months to get re-stitched because i wasn't healing correctly. I cried every time i left her office, she was just terrible. I had to stop her to ask her what she was doing every time I was there. If i didnt ask, i would have no idea what she was doing to me. I ended up having to go to a specialist and get surgery to 'repair' myself from the episiotomy she had given me. She delivered my first child, and there is no way i would ever recommend her, to anyone. Please do yourself a favor and find a different doctor..... more

The best referrel i recieved from my daughter in law was to see Dr.Romero. I must say i was very pleased with the level of care and concern I recieved from her medical staff. The staff is always very pleasantly polite and kind to their patients. I'm comfortable knowing that my medical care will be handled under the great hands and responsiblities of my physician Julia Romero, M.D. Pros: compassionate, efficient level of care, experience, love the office staff Cons: ----- more

I began seeing Dr. Romero since 1996, I was much younger then. But now I'm expecting to have my first child and couldn't be more excited and at ease of my pregnancy knowing that Dr. Romero handling my care. I had moved away from Houston for 2 years but when we moved back, I could not see myself going to another physcian. She has a remarkably pleasant staff who are very efficient in returning my calls to my questions and take the time with me even if its pertaining to my results. Sometimes appointments may be a little of wait to get in to see her but well worth the wait, I promise! Pros: quality health care, efficient, lovely staff environment Cons: sometimes awhile to make appointment more
