We had been meaning to try out the Macaroni Grill for a while. My son had been asking for "macanoni." We were quite disappointed. A long wait, EXTREMELY loud - bad acoustics, I think; plus the macaroni was terrible! What's with that? Our meals were actually pretty yummy but my toddler's macaroni tasted like Kraft Mac & Cheese! I could make something much tastier myself at home. My son did like being able to write on the table - each one is covered in white paper. My husband and I ended up writing notes to each other on the table since we couldn't hear each other over the noise! NOTE: I think it was Mother's Day when we visited so that may explain the noise/crowd. more

Worth the wait! 4/13/2006

Yep, it takes a LONG time to get into the Macaroni Grill. But once you're there - it's worth the wait. The tables are covered in white paper and your server will write his/her name for you and sometimes draw a little picture for you. The menu is good and quite extensive for a chain. I've never been disappointed here - everything is good. And what's not to like about a place that leaves the big bottles of chianti on the table and you serve yourself on the honor system. Oh - and if it's your birthday, they have an opera singer who will sing "O Solo Mio" at your table, along with your free dessert. Fun! more

Post-shopping dinner 4/13/2006

This is a restaurant at the new addition to the Alderwood Mall and I am hooked. This is a great place to carbo-load after a long day of shopping. It is always busy at dinner, so if possible make a reservation or try to snag one of the first come first serve seats in the bar. The food is delicious and a little creative for a chain. Give it a try for a yummy post-shopping meal. more

Great Food, Long Wait 3/31/2006

Macaroni Grill seems like a trendy sort of place. The service is wonderful and the food is outstanding. It's a fun place to go. There's noise, activity & great fun to be had for all. It's difficult to get in, particularly during meal times, so try going during off hours. Seems a little pricey for what it is, but still a good place to go. more
