Yep, it takes a LONG time to get into the Macaroni Grill. But once you're there - it's worth the wait. The tables are covered in white paper and your server will write his/her name for you and sometimes draw a little picture for you. The menu is good and quite extensive for a chain. I've never been disappointed here - everything is good.
And what's not to like about a place that leaves the big bottles of chianti on the table and you serve yourself on the honor system.
Oh - and if it's your birthday, they have an opera singer who will sing "O Solo Mio" at your table, along with your free dessert. Fun!
