I remember going to the old planetarium, and loved going to the new one. It's always a fun experience, and not to be missed, at least once. A fun way to cap off the museum. more

pink floyd!!! 8/21/2005

This is the place to go for laser light shows. This place will have all the pink floyd heads crawling out of the 70's. Is there anybody out there? This place ahas comfotable seats for you to loungs back and enjoy the show. I beleive they do other shows also and educational ones. The prices are a bit high but a pink floyd show is definately worth it. What a great place to take your old high school buddies!! more

The Roger B. Chaffee Planetarium is located on the second floor of the Van Andel Museum in downtown Grand Rapids. The huge domed theater has super comfortable chairs that sometimes move during a show. There are always several educational programs to see and they are very informative. The planetarium also shows laser light shows - very cool! more
