All reviews seem positive

Good stay 9/20/2013

We had a first floor room with two double beds. The room was really large and gave us plenty of room to spread out in. The room was quiet with good air conditioning and was very clean. The bathroom was in need of some updating, but everything in the room functioned properly. We had several areas where we could walk our dogs. The parking lot was well lit and safe at night. more

Rooms were very clean 8/27/2013

We were there for 5 nights. Rooms were very clean. Everything worked fine. Staff was fantastic. Every need attended to promptly. The pool area is far above average, basically a water park. Great for children. more

I have to say the service here is great. 8/20/2013

"OK if you think you are going to find the Hilton in the middle of the decent, you don't know where you are coming to. But do you want space? Do you want a clean room? How about a great pool area? A place that is close to where you want to be (the mountains or the cavern)? Well this is the place. \r Look if you stay at a Comfort Inn or Holiday Inn while traveling then you know this place. I've stayed at 1000 of them. But I have to say the service here is great. The actually take pride in service and that is something alot of small chains and franchises don't do anymore. I would certainly stay here again." more

We were VERY happy with our stay!!! 8/8/2013

Great location!!! Closest motel to Carlsbad Caverns PLUS attached waterpark is free for guests! Our room was BIG & very clean...nice flat-screen with plenty of channels, microwave, fridge, lots of towels. Breakfast is muffins and juice so if you need more come prepared as there isn't much in White's City--one restaurant and a convenience store-type place. We tried the restaurant and were happy with the food and the service was great. We spent several hours at the waterpark!! We were VERY happy with our stay!!! more

Very clean suite and they recently remodeled The bathroom. The beds are a bit hard, but clean. We were worried after reading the other reviews, but this place passed the test. We were considering going to Carlsbad, but this worked out very well. Unfortunately there aren't any good restaurants in Whites City. Try eating at the diner in the park. more

The room was extremely large with a kitchen table. We were very surprised. Are all the rooms like that or we were just lucky? The room was clean and there were a fridge, microwave and free wifi. Everything worked really well and it is very quiet. They have a free breakfast but they only have coffee, juice and muffins. more

We loved the location. 7/12/2013

This motel is located between Guadalupe Mountains National Park in Texas and Carlsbad Caverns National Park in New Mexico (though much closer to Carlsbad Caverns). We paid about 100$. It could seem very expensive but if you check motels in Carlsbad, except for the Motel 6 that was full, most motels are at about 150$ and have very poor reviews. So this motel was the best choice for us and we loved the location. White's city is such a charming village. more

If you want to be absolute closest to the Carlsbad Caverns, then this is the place to stay. There is no other motel so close at the park entrance is right next to the motel. It is more or less what you can expect from a motel so close to an attraction. It is a little overpriced (it's not expensive as I paid USD 100 per night) for what it is. It's a little outdated, but has all you need. The positive item I find is that right on the premise of the motel, there is a small watermark. So, with kids it's good to stay there as there is something for them to do. Also, while the area looks pretty deserted it does have a small grocery store, gift shop and gas station. Lastly, the people who run the place are super nice and happy to assist with anything you may need. more

I first tried to get a room in Carlsbad (the city) and was surprised to see the very high rates. I was arriving late, spending one night and getting up early to visit Carlsbad with the family. I happened to notice that there was one property located in Whites City very close to the entrance of Carlsbad Caverns National Monument. I assume the city is named after Jim White, the cowboy/cave explorer that put Carlsbad Caverns on the map. I was concerned with the single star the hotel had, but decided the good price and close proximity made it worth a try. The room was large, clean and had two queen sized beds. The bathroom had obviously been remodeled very recently. The breakfast consisted of just coffee, OJ and packaged muffins, but what do you expect for a sub 100 rate. The property worked out great for us and we were one of the first through the park gates in the morning! more

Happy 6/18/2013

I booked this because it was the closest to the caverns and one of the cheaper motels in the area. Room was nice and clean, roomy. Breakfast was only 2 choices of muffins and Oj. But the kids didn't care they were just happy to be there more
