Very near 5/7/2014

Very near Carlsbad Caverns, no "lowlifes" around, just vacationing families. It was fun watching Mexican Freetail Bats catching moths near the outdoor lights! more

Comfortable 4/29/2014

The motel sits 4/18/2014

The motel sits right outside of the Carlsbad Caverns. Totally convenient. There is only 1 restaurant and 1 grocery store in this town. You have to drive 30 miles back to Carlsbad to get better selections. more

Great location 4/8/2014

Great location just outside the Carlsbad Caverns entrance. Convenient to return to see the bat flight in the evening. Nice pool area especially if you have kids. more

The room was HUGE 3/27/2014

The room was HUGE and relatively comfortable. The location is AMAZING for those of you visiting Carlsbad Caverns. They have a seasonal pool with a water slide and water play area for kids. more

"Other things I always want to know when booking a place:\r good shower pressure\r the tub drains well\r towels are plentiful and soft\r there is a microwave and refrigerator\r the a/c is cold\r small coffee pot in room\r Styrofoam/plastic cups/glasses\r the beds are very comfortable\r the breakfast provided is just muffins and orange juice" more

We needed 3/12/2014

We needed a pet friendly hotel and choose this one. The night clerk was very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and nice. Looks like many of the rooms are ungoing renovation, so they will be even better. It was quiet and there is a fridge and microwave in the room. more

Great hot water and good shower head. The room was clean . It had a microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker with coffee packets. I didn’t checkout breakfast. If you’re looking for a luxury resort, keep looking. If you’re looking for value and location, you’ve found it. more

If you are going 2/21/2014

If you are going to the caverns or hiking in Carlsbad or Guadalupe, you cannot beat the location. Check out comparably priced motels in Carlsbad, then check out the Rodeway Inn. The first thing that impresses is the size of the room. Ours had 2 queen beds, a table and chairs, a low table with tv and there was still room to easily walk around. There were good dark out shades to make sleeping easy. more

We were put in a spacious, clean room that had recently been remodeled. The huge fridge in the room gave us a place to put food and beer for traveling. Occupancy was pretty low, so it was quiet. This Hotel is a very comfortable, very clean motel in a very quiet, very serene location. The rooms are very large and comfortable and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, especially in such a quiet, out-of-the-way and dark location. It is extremely dark at night in Whites City and I found that to be a plus. The registration desk employee was very congenial and I enjoyed talking to him. a person has to want to stay in a remote spot like this to really enjoy it due to the lack of restaurants and other amenities in Whites City. Carlsbad is only 18 miles away, so that is a good option for dinner. I love it here love the quietness I will be coming back I found my little secret. more
