Great deal, great service and absolutely wonderful products! 3/8/2012

My fiance bought my ring from this jeweler and had an exceptional experience. I agree with Kbutler24, he was extremely well taken care of. He had never purchased a diamond or any jewelry for that matter and had no clue what to do. His salesman very thoroughly described types of diamond, metals, qualities of both, insurance, pricing, the whole bit. He wasn't at all pushy or trying to get my fiance to make a purchase at all and in fact he didn't at first. The salesman didn't get moody like most do when yo decide to think on it. He told my fiance it was a good idea! In the end my fiance came back and bought my ring from them. It turned out heavenly and I always get compliments on it! Even from other jewelers! Overall great experience for us first time buyers! more

BEST experience I've EVER had!! 6/11/2011

I really don't know what those of you who are complaining about the service are talking about. I was VERY well taken care of when purchasing my fiance's engagement ring. I got to take up close views of each and every ring style and diamond I wanted to without being pressured into buying anything. I got a fantastic ring for a great price and my fiance LOVES her ring. She's going back now to buy my ring there. Nothing but good things to say about Steve and Barry. more

I LOVE Rocky Mountain Diamond! 12/23/2010

We were referred to Rocky Mountain Diamond 11 years ago from a friend of my husbands. We had been looking around and found many rings we liked, but didn't like the way the sales people acted. We had our own diamond and they were sometimes put out by them having to mount it for us. (ummm, isn't that what they are there for?) We bought the ring from a different store and took it to Rocky Mountain. They duplicated it for us @ 1/3 of the price and dip, clean and size it for free for life. We took the other ring back and it was the best decision jewelry wise we ever did. We have since purchased 2 more rings for me a ring for my husband and a ring for my son's girlfriend. We refer everyone to them. Thanks so much for making this all such a pleasant experience. more

Best Deal and Lovin It 10/20/2010

My friend recommended us to go to Rocky Mountain Diamond to get my engagement ring. After looking a few other places we found that not only did they have the best price for the quality but there was also a great selection. I found a ring that is unique and beautiful. My husband got it appraised and it is worth almost double of what we paid. It is seriously perfect!! We were so impressed that I bought my husbands ring there too. They gave me $50 off since we had a previous purchase. They resize and clean the rings for free and have great customer service. I like how I feel like an exclusive member or something when you have to get buzzed in and get personal attention. I would definitely recommend this place to any friend of mine getting an engagement ring or wedding band. They are the best! more

AWESOME 3/24/2010

I don't know what all of these negative reviewers are talking about. I bought my wife's ring here two years ago and it's still as perfect and gets as many compliments as it did from day one. The ring I bought, 1.2 carats and two white gold bands was half the price here as the same ring at all of the other places I checked. We haven't needed to have much service on the ring since purchase, but from my experience in dealing with the two different associates, they were always great and the atmosphere is quaint; I had their undivided attention both times. I would definitely go to them again, without a second thought. Pros: Great ring at a great price more

Worst Place for Diamonds 2/19/2010

This has to be the worst experience buying anything in my whole life!!!!! I found a diamond and a ring that I liked and was going to purchase them. Put down a deposit and he sent the ring to his ""goldsmith."" When the ring got back it has all sorts of problems!! It was no longer a ring but more of a square! I was shocked that they could take something so beautiful and make something so ugly!! When I told the sales person about how disappointed I was he tried to tell me that that is how rings look when they get re-sized. Are you kidding me? I guess they think that they can trick some people into buying crappy jewelry! They tried to fix the problem by sending it out to the same ""goldsmith"", but by then I was so angry that they tried to sell me something that was of poor quality I didn't want to deal with them. Talked to Steve Heart the owner and he is a complete jerk. I told him about the problems and he basically didn't help at all! When I told him I didn't want to purchase anything from him he hung up on me!! No really, Hung up on a customer!! He is not a wholesaler! Just a guy selling a product. His prices are no better then other places. When he says that an independent appraiser will appraise the ring for over 3 times the value, don't believe it. Its a sales gimmick. I talked to the Appraiser and he told me that what he appraises for is never what you would pay in a retail store. I found out that all Steve told me about his product was to sell his product. Such a bad experience. I promise, you can find something better for the same price in other stores around the valley! I did. Same ring with a reputable warranty for the same price. Put a deposit down and never got it back. Nice job Steve, you thief. Pros: NONE DON'T GO THERE Cons: STEVE HEART THE OWNER!!! DISHONEST more

Go somewhere HONEST 12/28/2009

The magnification lubes at Rocky Mountain Diamond are worthless...they show you nothing inside the diamond. The measuring tools they use are off as well. They are not precise in their measurements by any means. Be very careful. I saw my diamond under Rocky Mountains magnification lube as well as under Jerricks Jewelers (in Logan) and they looked like two completely different diamonds. Under Rocky Mountains Lube I saw nothing...no flaws whatsoever. Under the magnification lube at Jerrecks I saw every slight inclusion within the diamond. I would have been fine with it had they just been honest and shown me exactly what I was buying..however, they hide the flaws and tweek the measurements to make you think you are getting more than you actually are. Be careful. It's worth it to pay more and get a certified certificate from a retail store. I do still love my ring, however, I do feel it is very important to buy from honest people. Cons: Misleading and not Completely Honest more

Great Service 5/29/2009

Sent in a ring I bought somewhere else and they still fixed it for free. Has always been helpful and friendly every time we need anything. Highly recommended. more

Fabulous! 2/2/2009

Rocky Mountain Diamond was so great to work with. My fiance had gone to several stores looking before taking me with him. The difference between the ""typical"" stores and Rocky Mountain was apparent. They were incredibly fast and went above and beyond our expectations. My engagement ring is exactly how I imagined it - better even. more

Lies Lies and More Lies!!! 1/26/2009

A friend recommended me to Rocky Mountain Diamond; which I was told they were fantastic and cheap and had great diamonds!!! When I went there they had great customer service, very friendly, and all their settings and diamonds looked great! Pros: at first really friendly, nice , etc... Cons: They lie and take advantage of you! You will get screwed if you go there! more

I FOUND OUT THAT ROCKY MOUNTAIN DIAMOND IS USING DIAMOND CERTS THAT ARE 3-4 GRADE WRONG. HE PROMISED TO BE CERTIFED AND IS NOT. PROMISED THE GRADES WHERE RIGHT AND I TOOK HIS DIA TO 4 GG'S OFF 4 GRAD 1/21/2009

MY NAME IS MARK AND I CAN NOT BELIEVE THE LIES I WAS TOLD AT ROCKY MOUNTAIN DIAMOND. HE IS NO WHOLESALE. JUST A RETAILER IN A SMALL OFFICE SO HE CAN TELL YOU HE HAS NO OVERHEAD. I TOOK 3 OF HIS DIAMOND IN 2008 AND THE ALL GRADED 3TO5 GRADES LOWER. HE LIED TO ME OVER AND OVER AGAIN. SURE THINK NEEDS TO GO TO JAIL FOR HIS LIES. PROMISED MY GIA CERTS THEN SENT ME TO HIS FRIEND TO GRADE THE DIAMONDS. AFTER I TOOK THEM TO OC TANNER AND SIERRA WEST AND J BROOKS JEWELERS THEY ALL APPRAISED THEM MUCH LOWER. THE CUTS WERE ALSO WAY OFF WHICH MAKES A DIAMOND LESS VALUABLE. HE PROMISES THE MOON AND LIES AND LIES. DO NOT GIVE HIM YOUR CASH OR CHECKS OR CREDITCCARDS. HE WILL STEAL FROM YOU!!!!!!!!! THIS IS THE TRUTH NO MATTER WHAT HE CLAIMS. IT REALLY HAPPENED TO MEET. THANKS MARK Pros: ZERO Cons: NO GRADUATE GEMOLGIST AND NO LAB,POOR SELECTION,OLD STYLES, CLAIMS WHOLESALE BUT HE ONLY SELL TO THE PUBLIC more

Awesome rings, awesome prices, awesome service. 4/29/2008

I have to say that I had a wonderful experience with them. My ring is gorgeous, it was amazingly cheap, and I get compliments on it ALL the time. We did have a slight problem with them on my husband's ring, we had kind of a unique design and they provided a similar ring. I pointed out the error, and they fixed it promptly free of charge. The sales room is low pressure, the sales staff actually recommended a cheaper, and prettier, diamond. Gotta say that even with the slight problem with my husband's ring, I couldn't be happier. The sales staff is knowledgeable, friendly and willing to work with you however you want. Did I mention low pressure? Referred a friend who also really liked the service and picked out a gorgeous ring. Although the engagement fell through, he's still happy he went to Rocky Mountain Diamond. Yeah, I recommend it, I'm sorry the previous person had so many problems, but it's not a common occurrence. Pros: Service, Price, Good follow up service for life, Open Saturdays. Cons: Slight mix up on one of our rings, appointment required. more

My ring is stunning! 10/26/2007

I could not have had a better experience, my ring is gorgeous. My best friend referred me, she took in a drawing and they created the ring she wanted exactly, no issues. We have since referred two friends who also have been thrilled with their rings. My setting is perfect, they were incredibly patient while I tried on and I've had to have it sized twice (weight fluctuations, not ring issues!) which they did for free in a couple of days, perfect both times. Best part you can get full value credit on trade-in for your diamond, so you can start out small and upgrade over time without losing money. It's a relief to walk out knowing you didn't buy something that dropped in value the minute you left the store. Service is great, they are fantastic, don't waste time anywhere else! Pros: Incredible prices on diamonds, excellent service Cons: limited hours, and you must call ahead to be let in more

Horrible jeweler 10/17/2007

I would not recommend this company to anyone. My husband bought my engagement ring here and we had problems from the beginning. They do have good prices on diamonds, but their jeweler is horrible! I am not sure their jeweler has had any professional training and does not pay any attention to detail. First off, the setting we chose was a very simple one, and after my ( then) fiance gave me the ring, I noticed it was not symmetrical on both sides. One side came up higher to the center diamond than the other. so we brought it back to have it fixed and they made the height even on both sides, but then the edges were all deformed and warped looking. My husband had also bought a wedding band to go with it and gave them my engagement ring to match it and they ended up giving us a wedding band that had different clarity stones than the engagement ring and the smalls stones were spaced all unevenly- some were close to each other and others were apart a bit. We were so fed up, we returned the wedding band, got our money refunded, and but kept the engagement ring and payed another jewler to re-make the band setting. what a nightmare. if anything you might want to buy the plain diamonds from them, but go somewhere else to buy a setting. Also the prices for mens bands aren't that much greater than other jewlers, and they don't really know what they are talking about when it comes to resizing rings. I bought my husbands wedding ring elsewhere and had a wonderful experience. more

Mixed Review 11/9/2006

I have mixed feelings about Rocky Mountain Diamond. They do have very competitive prices (thousands less than mall jewelers), and for the most part they are very easy to work with and willing to accomodate. However, my philosophy is: get it right the first time. I have had to bring my ring in several times, and I feel like the jeweler they work with must not pay great attention to details because I have had to send my ring back a number of times to get things fixed that should have been right from day one. For instance, the center stone wasn't really centered so I took it in to get fixed, which they did without a problem. Then took it back in again because I noticed the side diamonds were different clarity, and they fixed that without a problem as well... except then when I got my ring back the center stone wasn't centered again. So I had to take it back again to get that fixed -- for the second time. So... just an example of some things that have been really frustrating for me. If you have a simple setting, I would say this is the place to go... otherwise, unless you are willing to be persistant in getting exactly what you want this isn't the place for you. In addition, the amount of time it takes to get things fixed is a little too long. 2-3 days for a simple cleaning, or minor adjustment. Also, don't count on it being done the day they tell you -- count on it being delayed at least a day, or maybe even two. Pros: Great prices, great diamonds Cons: Poor quality workmanship more

Highly Recommend 9/19/2006

I love this company! My husband took me to Rocky Mountain Diamond so that I could design my own wedding ring. They did a fantastic job and were very accomidating with our schedule, each time we came from out-of-state. They bent over backwards to make sure my ring was exactly what I wanted, paying close attention to detail. They even had it ready for my Bridal pictures, and then re-polished it before my wedding. The diamonds are beautiful, and very fairly priced (we did A LOT of research before going to them.) I would and do recommend this company to everyone. I literally get compliments on my ring weekly! more

terrible customer service 7/26/2006

Rocky Mountain diamonds gave my fiance and I terrible service every time we have gone there to receive help with my engagement ring. They did a poor job mounting our diamond and did not see anything wrong with the prongs on my ring when they were all very different shapes and sizes. We were not impressed at all and would not recommend this company to anyone. more
