Since something seems to have happened to Ashland Fudge Company and it appears that they might not reopen, this might be the only candy store in Ashland. Honestly we liked Ashland Fudge Company better, because the fudge especially was better there, but Rocky Mountain does make a mean milk chocolate macadamia nut cluster and I can attest to that personally.
Last time we were in here they had a small plate of samples out and I thought that was nice. We got to try some sort of chocolate orange peel candy that was not something I would have ever bought, but was good anyway.
The people who work here are friendly and it is a fun store to visit with Jelly Belly Jellybeans and plush toys lined up in barrels as you walk in.
And then there is the giant bear, chained up to the bench just outside the door. It's hard to not like a store that has a bear hanging around, for whatever reason.
