I have lived in the Plymouth area for only a short time but have fallen in love with Rock Bottom Sea Food. I've stopped by some of the tourist ridden, ""Best Chowder"", over priced sea food shops and shaks and have yet to find anything that hits the spot like RBSF.
The front of the house is always nice and clean. The fish consistently looks fresh and firm and on ice.
The folks that work there are always nice with a smile ready and constantly working. Not standing around talking about last night's drunk escapades like so many restaurants these days.
The chowder is my favorite! I'll pick up other pieces during the week as well. And their in house cocktail sauce is nice and spicy. Love it! Fish and Chips are perfectly battered.
I always recommend RBSF to tourist looking for some good seafood! As do other restaurants in the area as I overheard a waitress at the local breakfast cafe telling some of her customer that was the place to go!
