Buyer Beware! 6/1/2010

I got a tattoo there in late 2004. I showed up, and told "Jason" what I wanted. Then I realized I'd left my wallet in our truck. I told him I'd be back ASAP and came back less than an hour later. (we had to walk, and had parked quite a distance.) I was asked to pre pay for my tattoo. I was told it would cost $50. I paid with three $20's. When I didn't receive my $10 change, I said "I didn't get my change.". He then said "Aren't you going to tip me?" I was stupid, and said "Oh, yeah...keep it." Then the bullsh*t started. He was a complete dick. I've had a tattoo before so I know what's it's like. He was very rough. Wiping the excess ink off way harder than necessary. He also dug very deeply while working which caused scaring. When I mentioned that he was being rough when wiping ( ONLY after being asked how I was feeling) he told me "Grow up, Everyone gets the same pressure." Very unprofessional. But it doesn't end there. My tattoo bruised and scabbed over, in proportions that my Dr. had NEVER seen before. After it had completely healed, I went back because there were several patches that were missing ink. I spoke to the SAME ARTIST that had done my tattoo. He completely DENIED doing the artwork and ever meeting me. After speaking to the manager, I find out that "Jason" destroyed my paperwork and there was no record of me ever being a customer. Save your money, and your skin. Dont go there. more

River City Tattoo 4/15/2006

Getting your first tattoo can be extremely scary and nerve wracking for some. I was made to feel comfortable and put at ease by my tattoo artist and was not ridiculed for being a big chicken! The store was very clean and they use new needles each time they have a new client so there is no worry about safety issues, at least there was not for me. The tattoo artist was accomodating to me and very friendly. We went in there on the spur of the moment and were seen fairly quickly and it did not take too long to do and the artist took his time to do an accurate job. I was very pleased with the service I was provided at this shop. more

Awesome Tattoo artists! 10/12/2005

This is such a great place to go into and get a tattoo or just check out the artwork for a later date. I went in and got my last tattoo and was really impressed with the artists. They have such skill and they're the friendliest people around. The artwork to choose from is so extensive that it's almost impossible to just choose one! They take great care in using only the best and sterile equipment. I'll be going back next month for another and I'm looking forward to it! more

Nice experiance for a first timer 8/28/2005

River City Tattoos on 6th Street is a great place. The artist that I went to was very easy to work with. He was a bit amused at the artwork I picked out-a ladybug with hearts around it, but drew up a great design. He was very quick, and there was nothing I worried about. I felt a bit queasy for a little bit, but was reassured, and he waited until I felt better to finish. The price was great too! more
