I never write reviews, but this time is a must! I came to Ricki Criswell with the most horrible skin you've ever seen. Too much sun, not enough water and just not caring for it as I should. I'm 41 and felt it was time for some skin care boot camp. Ricki did microdermabrasion, a vitamin c scrub/peel and this oxygen treatment that was the most amazing feeling I've ever felt in my life! Her hands are magic as she massages your head, shoulders and feet ( love the feet!) when I looked in the mirror, I seriously looked like I did around 7 years ago. ( I'm not kidding!) Another thing I loved about Ricki is she didn't try to upsell me any products. I hate when you spend all this money on a service and they try to see you products after. I'm so happy I found Ricki Criswell A true Los Angeles jewel. Next time waxing! Eek! more

I love Ricki Criswell's facials! They are the best! 2/27/2011

I have had many facials in my life, but the facials I receive from Ricki are extraordinary. She does so many different things I don't even know where to begin. I've had all of her facial services, but my favorite is the her signature facial with the peel and the scrub. She uses the clarisonics brush which polished the skin then moves on the all the other things. Her magic hands massage your hands, feet shoulders and head! Her studio is adorable, warm and inviting and all the other women are very sweet. When you are done, she gives you figi water! more

lash extensions 1/24/2011

Hi! I just had Brenda who works for Ricki's Skincare and Waxing Studio last weekend and she put individual lash extensions on my own natural lashes. And wow they look totally amazing! They look like they are actually my lashes but longer. I do not have to wear any mascara at all! Just put some lipstick and out the door I go! She did a beautiful job! The price was fair but worth every penny. I just come back to her every month or so for touch ups which is very affordable. Also, I had my brazillian done and she was clean, painless, quick , and funny! No double dipping at all! She did an awesome job! more

Seriously the best bikini wax of my life 12/25/2010

Thank you Ricki, for the best bikini/ Brazilian wax I've ever had. Some places say they are painless, but we know that's not true. However, I will say your technique is the best of the best. On a scale of 1-10 I'll say in terms of pain it was a 3 and that is awesome! I am so glad I found you. You're it for me girl. Also, in an era of poor costumer service, I have to say Ricki will go out of her way to make you happy. It just comes natural to her. She schedules enough time so you never feel like she is adding extra people during your appt time. Also the studio is gorgeous! Great service, best wax I've ever had more

My Skin Was A Mess and She smoothed it Out!! 11/12/2010

I found Ricki by chance, and saw on her website she did the best eyelash perm in the city, I have very straight lashes, so I wanted to try it. My lashes came out awesome didnt have to wear mascara in the summer for about 3 months. Then my skin needed major help, and I had some extra money so I did 4 sessions maybe 5 of microdermabration sessions for about a month, and started the Intraceuticals cleansers. My skin was so soft and sooo smooth, it looked amazing, and Ricki was awesome, and helpful, and caring. My skin was really a mess, and she brought it back to life. Thanks Ricki I miss coming havnt been able to come see you, but hopefully soon. My skin needs you!!! more

Best Bikini Waxing since I moved to L.A. 10/29/2010

Bikini waxing is very personal business. To be great at it you have to have the touch and experience to just "get in there". Ricki is the first person I've been to since I moved here 15 months ago who actually knows how to do a bikini wax. She gets down to bizniz, wears gloves and doesn't double dip! 10 minutes later I was outta there without any breakage. Clean as a whistle! Hell ya, I'll be back! Finally, someone who knows what they're doing! more

gorgeous studio, A+ services 10/20/2010

I just moved to LA from London. I am quite happy I found this quaint, sweet place to get my waxing. Ricki is brilliant, and her attention to detail is what I look for. She is extremely esthetically oriented which is something we all look for when we spend our hard earned money. I would recommend Ricki to people who are looking for someone who goes the distance to make you happy. I especially love the Figi water! more

Let's see....all the services I get with Ricki? eyelash perming, microdermabrasion with her oxygen treatment, Brazilian waxing (love her wax!) and I even get permanent makeup done by the lovely Chong. I've been a Ricki fan and followed her for 15 years. I'd say we are growing old together. even my daughter has been getting waxed by ricki since she was 12. Good luck my friend. I voted for you! Amazing Facial and Eyebrow Waxing!!! 10/16/2010

Ricki does an amazing job. My eyes usually tear up a lot when I get my eyebrows waxed, but with Ricki it was completely painless, and she did a great job with the shaping. The facial was great too! It was so relaxing. And my skin was glowing after. Ricki does a great job, and her new salon is so nice and peaceful. I definitely recommend her! more

CALL RICKI! 10/11/2010

Ricki is great! I read about her on Citysearch and sent my teenager to her. It was definitely not his thing to go to a skin care salon, but he was very glad he went and he followed her suggestion to see a dermatologist ASAP (after I had been talking to him about it for a few months.) He has continued to see her every few months since. Of course, seeing the great care and results he got with her, I went also. Ricki gives an amazing facial - I usually get the oxygen facial, and love the results and Ricki! more

Best Brazilian anywhere! 10/9/2010

Ricki does absolutely the BEST Brazilian anywhere! She's quick and as pain-free as humanly possible. I went there a few years back because the other person I went to was on vacation and took a permament vacation from the other place, meaning: hooked on Ricki's services. She's professional, fun, and will go out of her way to cater to all her customer needs. If you've thought about getting a Brazilian and have been scared, fear no more! Ricki will change your mind forever. more

Love, Love coming to Ricki's 10/7/2010

Since Ricki has moved to her new location, I find myself coming a lot more often. The atmosphere has such a calm peaceful vibe, I never want to leave! I usually get a brazilian wax and a facial. Her brazilians are so fast, Its done before I know it. She uses a wax that isn't bad at all and she never double dips! I'm on the books every 6 weeks. Her facials are fantastic. I have a lot of clogged pores due to really oily skin, so I need a lot of extractions which arent bad at all. Ricki is very gentle and I never leave red and unable to go out after, actually, I've been going next to her studio to Le Pain Quotidien for lunch after I see her which I love. SHe is truly the best around and really knows her stuff. more

BEST facial and brows 8/31/2010

I have never been to such a cute, clean and nice place for a facial...WOW! Ricki is so sweet and helpful and knowledgeable about skin care and brows. My skin has never been better and I have gone back every 2 weeks since...i'm hooked. The oxygen facial is unlike anything i've ever had. I love it....HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! more

Highly Recommend! 8/23/2010

I found Ricki through a google search. She had so many great reviews, I figured I couldn't go wrong. I went for the microdermabrasion facial and it was awesome! I've had microderm from a dermatologist before, but this takes it to a new level because it includes the rest of the facial stuff (massage, extractions, etc, plus this cool brush she uses to clean your face). I've already done about 3 of these with her because I liked the first one so much, and my skin is definitely getting better. Smoother and clearer. Ricki also suggested products that she felt would heal my skin, and they feel great! My skin tends to easily react to products but everything she's sold me has felt great so far. She gives you individualized treatment- she will learn your skin and make it the best it can be. She is truly passionate about her work and it shows. If you are suffering from acne or just want your skin to glow, go to Ricki! more

Amazing Brow Waxing 7/31/2010

I just visited Ricki's Skin Care for the very first time for an eyebrow wax. The studio is very pretty and Ricki couldn't have been nicer. I've gotten my eyebrows done all over LA, including the very trendy Anatasia. So I know how to recognize talent. Ricki was amazing. My eyebrows have never looked better. The parking was easy, the building was nice, and the price was resonable. I will definitely be making an appointment for one of her wonderful facials she offers and the reflexology treatments. more
