Wonderful experience 9/1/2006

I recently vistited Repast for the first time with 3 of my friends and had a wonderful experience. Our server Joseph was very courteous and prompt. He not only recommended excellent dishes but he paired wine with each course and was willing to accomodate us on all of our needs. The food was everything we could have hoped to expect and more. The chef obviously takes pride in his work. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who appreciates quality and attentive care. Make sure you try the cheesecake!!!! Pros: Joseph!! Cheesecake and ambience. Cons: Not one more

WOW doesn't even capture the experience. 8/25/2006

I have been coming to Repast now for several months and I can't find enough ways to say how delightful each experience has been. Of all the times I've been there (6 to 8 times), Joseph has been our server over half the time and my girlfriend and I have nothing but good things to say about the service we were given. The best part about this restaurant is that it doesn't stop with great service. The food is immaculate. The food is always perfectly spiced, but for salt lovers (such as myself), they are not afraid to offer the salt tasting(a tasting of three artisanal salts) Pros: Service, Great food, Personal attention Cons: Concealed location more

Good ambience but limited selection 8/19/2006

The decor and the ambience was great for a Saturday night out, we left hungry as the food we ordered didn't cut it. But with a limited selection, I'm not sure if we could've done a whole lot better with other choices... Good drinks, though. Service was also pretty good. more

Enjoy Repast before the word gets out... it's Atlanta's best kept secret! 7/7/2006

Delicious bistro inspired something-for-everyone menu with portions large enough to share (the double cut pork chop is superb, as well as the scallops); diverse approachable wine list; excellent presentation. The patio is also great for cocktails and small plates which are amazing! (Try the bacon wrapped stuffed dates with a glass of cava.) Last but not least, you must try the banana bread pudding for dessert. Staff is young and unpretentious and still working out some small details, but overall very courteous. A wonderfull dining experience, and a refreshing addition to the neighborhood. Covered valet parking in the Ponce Spings garage is a nice touch. Pros: unpretentious, romantic, delicious Cons: if only all dining experiences could be this good more

I just moved into the ponce-spring neighborhood and wanted to have a nice dinner to celebrate, so I went here. It was so great I ended up coming back within a week. The food was amazing and service was superb. The ambience is perfect. I was blown away by Repast. more

Excellent Service; Prices From Hell! 6/9/2006

Finally made it to Repast, to check out the hype. Loved the up and coming Poncey-Highland area. Interior, lighting, and wonderful patio were terrific. Service was superb. But the food, we were so dissapointed. Tried the Mussels, only five, and one was not opened. Mussels, not opened, shouldn't be served. Had the pork-chop--$25.00-you've got to be kidding. And it was tough! Owner, Joseph was very gracious. Will give it another try, when things become more grounded. more

"" Hidden patio lounge"" in Midtown. 6/4/2006

We saw "" Repast "" on TV "" opening soon"" by fine living channel show. and Me and husband were very impressed them how came up with this beautiful restaurant in Midtown Atlanta. The Food is fablous and the space is gorgious. There is a beautiful modern court yard patio and serves tapas style menu with great wines. Owner / chefs are young sweet husband and wife team and took care of us. "" Try their mussle"" and "" dates"" ! more

Incredible! 6/2/2006

Knowing the owner from my employment at Chateau Elan, I was very excited by news of Repast's opening. About a month ago, my fiance and I finally found time to have dinner there. This was the best dining experience I've had in quite a while. Where else do you find quick, helpful service; flawless ambience; a wonderful and well-stocked bar; an executive chef/owner who stops by to talk with diners, and exquisite food? Nowhere else in Atlanta, I'd answer. Pros: Ambience, Wonderful Food, Timely Valet Service more

The best new restaurant in Atlanta 06' 4/20/2006

After read great review from ajc, I made a reservation and went there. I had their Matini( Call Repastini) and had a dinner at bar......( fritto misto, dates and Pork chop ) Oh la la! I had a 4 star dining experience tonight and just want to share my wonderful night out with some other dining out lovers!! The best new restaurant in Atlanta 2006! more

I am very familiar with fine dining in Atlanta, and this place is so good I almost want to keep it a secret. The oysters wrapped with bacon, shrimp/scallops and grits, and bread pudding, are especially delightful. Pros: food, food, food! more

Love the appetizers ( tapas ) 4/15/2006

I love their appetizer menu, almost like a tapas. so many dishes to chose from, very reasonable and tasty!! We ( 4people ) just order a few bottles of wine ( cava, white and red) and 9 different appetizers. We ordered, the famous swee water 420 mussle, fritto misto, dates with bacon, beets salad with warm goat cheese, fried oyster , special scallop and........Loved everything! The restaurant is such a cool place, great service and ambience. Will be back! more

After read all these great reviews, I could't wait to dine at Repast. Their service was great, especially the owner/chef ( husband & wife team ) are very warm people and care about "" EVERYTHING"". I had The shrimp, scallop and grits, was fablous!! It was perfect amount and so fresh. The grits taste like the grits( not cheesy and greasy ) and cooked perfect. If you think over priced, you must be used to eat frozen shrimps at "" Red lobster or Captain D"". I can not wait to go back and try other dishes. Awesome new restaurant!! more

Diamond in the rough+ 4/5/2006

Very impressed with this new old fourth ward eatery. Only open a month or so and my experience was stellar. Ingredient driven menu in the hands of skilled chefs who have learned not to over do it and let the food do the talking. Look for great things to come when this place matures. Had cocktails on their beautiful patio before dinner. fritto misto, medjool dates, oster stew- braised lamb shank, merluza with artichokes and pork chop all first rate. Gotta have the Japanese style cheescake and banana pecan bread pudding OFF THE CHAIN! Pros: food, patio, value more

Best martinis! 4/4/2006

My friends and I went to Repast on Monday night for their ""Martini Monday"" special. We sat out on their incredibly comfortable patio and enjoyed the best cocktails I've ever had. We will not only be going back for the adorable staff (Joe you made the night a blast!) but also for the Repast Martini...with candy ginger infused vodka...(whatever that really is I'm not too sure but it was amazing!) and the Cantelou-tini...with canteloupe, champagne, and vodka...excellent. Oh-and the food is to die for, get the shrimp and grits you won't regret it. Pros: Atmosphere, Service, Cocktails more

Seriously Don't Understand the Hype 4/3/2006

I ate here a few weeks ago with friends, they had the shrimp and grits dish and for the money, I would have expected more than 2 shrimp, 2 medium scallops and not much more than 2 tablespoons of under cooked grits. We honestly thought it was an appetizer when we saw the portion size on another table; if we had known, my friends would have ordered something else. I had steak frites, it was ok, but certainly not great. The interior is very nice and the service was attentive without being overwhelming, but the food definitely didn't match the price. Maybe with some work it will be better, but it will be a while before I try again. Pros: location, scene Cons: food more

Excellent 3/30/2006

Dined at Repast last night. Mussels with goat cheese was just incredible. Be sure to get extra bread and a spoon so you can enjoy all of the wonderful juice!! Also had the duck. It was cooked to perfection and had the right lean/fat balance. All with a wonderul Merlot. Will be back. Pros: Service, Quality, Value Cons: none come to mind more

great new restaurant. The food is fablous!! Lots of FLAVOR> ( reasonable price ) We went there Tuesday night and all bottle of wines are 1/2 price. Their wine list are fablous. ( Monday & Tuesday nights bottle of wine is 1/2 price ) Great place to spned on Monday & Tuesday night in Atlanta! more

Great experience! 3/21/2006

We had a great wine dinner at repast's private lounge . Their service staff was very profesional and friendly. Chef create us special wine tasting menu for us and it was fablous. We highly recommended their upstair private lounge for any special party. more
