Fabulous find 2/10/2005

What a warm cozy spa! The ambiance of the three story victorian house was a plus, but the great service and overall friendliness won me over completely. I was served complimentary wine, hot teas through out my day and had a wonderful french lunch that was to die for. The staff was eager to please me and seem to strive for excellence in every area.     No fussy crocheted doilies or curio cabinets here--this 1896 home has been handsomely restored, with attention given to lush fabrics, leaded glass and uniquely detailed fireplace mantles. Patrons check in at a regal oak reception desk--nestled beneath the winding staircase--then proceed toward cushiony sofas in a central waiting room. Hair and nail services take place downstairs, where natural light streams through double-paned windows. Massages and facials are conducted in cozy upstairs rooms. Professional women and mom-daughter duos are likely in attendance.
