A friend referred me to the Reiki School and Clinic. I felt stuck in a rut and was looking for a way to get ?unstuck?. I work in corporate America and was a little apprehensive about the school and the people who taught there. Would I fit in? Would I be the ?square old guy?? And what was reiki anyway? My experience could not have been better. The teachers and staff were so welcoming and caring that I felt comfortable right away. My classmates were all different ages and came from all different walks of life. There were just as many men as women and the age range was from early twenties to early sixties. The instructor (Kim) presented the information in a way that encouraged the students to experience reiki in their own unique way. My life has truly changed for the better and I am definitely ?unstuck?. Whether you want to study reiki or receive a treatment, I would highly recommend the Reiki School and Clinic. You won?t be disappointed. more

Michael Murphy is the Best Massage Therapist I have ever received a massage from. I was in desperate need for a massage, even my angel cards told me to get one, I kid you not! I was lucky enough to get a free massage during a Penn Medicine conference on 9/21/12. I had no idea that I would be able to breathe so much better! I needed some serious work done on my back and I knew I would need some elbow pressure and he was absolutely perfect! He had the perfect touch between massage and reiki. I felt like I was high (in a great way of course) and at perfect peace for the rest of day and the following day! I felt like I was getting more air in my lungs. The experience made me wonder was I breathing wrong all of this time!? LOL! Was I not getting full function of my lungs before? It was just more

Reiki with Michael Murphy is like a slice of heaven right here on earth. I had a series of 3 sessions with him to help me deal with a variety of issues?stress, burnout, serious asthma problems, thyroiditis, and anemia. In looking back, I see those sessions as a key element in my recovery from all of those issues. During each session, it was like he was looking at a map of my mind/body/spirit continuum, and was sending Reiki energy to all the ?dark? and ?energy-needing? places. At the end of each session my system felt rewired in the best possible way. Michael?s caring manner, ability to listen, understanding, and gentleness made the sessions a joy to experience. The money I paid for the sessions ($60.00 per session) was nothing compared with what I got out of them?health, healing, rejuvenation, abundance, and lots of energy! Pros: Lots of healing and energy Cons: No cons with Reiki more

Massage/CranioSacral Therapy with Erik 11/13/2008

As a RM/MT myself, I know a great massage therapist when I come across one. I know how important it is to take care of yourself and get bodywork done. I also know how good it feels and how healing it is. As a 7 month pregnant woman, I LOVED getting a pregnancy massage from Erik. I'd had one other pregnancy massage at another location with a different therapist, and it was substandard to say the least. Erik far exceeded my expecations. I left the table feeling like I'd had a regular massage, not a fluffy pregnancy massage, I was new and relaxed and the tension of all of the extra weight was lifted. When I went for Cranio Sacral Therapy, I walked in feeling tired and worn out. I left the table feeling like a new person. I felt like I could do anything (physically and emotionally). I know good bodywork, and Erik is fantastic!!. Pros: Ambiance was warm and cozy, and tailored to my needs. more

super relaxing Head Massage! 12/4/2007

I have been receiving Indian Head Massages from Erik Everts now for well over a year, and they just keep on getting better and better!! The Indian Head Massage is an ancient modality used in traditional Indian medicine, and finally we are benefitting form its magic now here in the states. It addresses the key areas where most of our computer using society suffers: the upper back and neck, down into each arm and each finger, the forearm massage (my personal favorite--who would have thought that this part of the body could make u melt if u massage it?) and of course, the scalp and whole rotation of the head. It is very transporting and totally relaxing. I often see colors when i get one. Its also a perfect intro massage for people that are sceeved about taking their clothes off--its seated and clothed. I really appreciate Erik's knowledge about the service--it certainly adds to the experience--because, I assure you, you have never experienced any other massage quite like this one! more

Ayurvedic Head Massage. The benefit of focused body and energy work. 11/16/2007

I received an amazing ayurvedic head massage from Erik Everts at the Reiki School. The treatment is focused on the neck, face, scalp, arms, hands, upper back, and shoulders, with a chakra balancing chaser. My upper body is regularly stiff and tight, and I get headaches.This treatment was extremely relaxing and rejuvenating. All of my physical stress collects in my shoulders, and I usually look like an urban sherpa with too many bags hanging from my body, so I am often looking to massage for relief. I had no idea how good it was going to feel to have the muscles under my scalp massaged. Ok, getting your hair washed before it gets cut feels good?not even close! The same was true with the muscles in my face. more

expectations exceeded 11/10/2007

Laurie far exceeded my expectations as a Reiki practitioner. She made me feel very comfortable during my first session, when I knew practically nothing about how it worked or what I might feel. After receiving more sessions I learned of the joy that teaching Reiki brings to her life. I have never met someone so dedicated to practicing and spreading goodwill through therapy. Laurie is truly an expert -- paved by her passion in this sacred practice. more

My experience with the Reiki School has been outstanding. I find their foundress, Kim, to be a creative, engaging, and dynamic person, as well as an inspiring leader. Michael Murphy is a fine human being, and specializes in offering safe and healing massage and reiki. I have experienced his work myself to great advantage. And I have spoken to many others who have received his work, each greatly benefitting from his skill and his care. Michael works on a great diversity of people, and knows wisely how to best treat them. I highly recommend him without reserve. more

Michael Murphy is the best massage therapist and Reiki practitioner I have ever worked with! I myself am a Reiki Master and Holistic Health Practitioner. As a result of my profession I have had many gifted people work on me. I have been receiving massages for 20 years. Michael is singular. A session with him is pure bliss. He is dedicated to the ideals of Reiki and the healing of the body. As a Reiki Master, Michael is also an excellent teacher. He is my Reiki Master. On a personal note, his energy is fabulous and fun. more

I had a hot stone message with Michael Murphey and it was wonderful. He took the time to talk to me before the message and explain the process. He was gentle and thorough and has a very peaceful manner. I would highly recommend Michael and the hot stone message. The stones are very soothing and warming right down to the bones. I am looking forward to scheduling again soon! more

highly recommended for stressful lifestyles 11/6/2007

I've attended the reiki school twice so far and was taken care of by Jess Marino. Both times I was pregnant and had a wonderful experience. I was quickly put at ease by the serene environment and Jess's soothing, calm nature. Even my unborn child responded positively to the process by moving with Jess's hands and pushing out towards her. Each time I left feeling relaxed, centered, and at peace. I highly recommend this for pregnant women everywhere and anyone and everyone as well. more

A peaceful experience 11/5/2007

The Reiki school has been kind and hospitable through every visit. I've recieved many sessions of Reiki there from Jessica Marino, and have seen positive results. I feel rejuvanated on a mind/body/spirit level afterwards. During the session, I feel tranquil and loved. Jess has been helpful with explaining the benefits to me and working with my needs openly. The reiki has been healing. Thanks!! more

Reiki with Laurie 11/3/2007

I started having reiki sessions with Laurie at the Reiki School almost a year ago, and I went in with no knowledge of what reiki is or how healing it can be. I felt completely comfortable with Laurie right away, and the Reiki School environment is calm and welcoming. Laurie is a great listener and I always feel like she cares about my concerns and takes them seriously during our sessions. Her reiki practice is extraoridinarily calming and attentive and I always leave sessions feeling renewed, centered, and more positive. I highly recommend giving reiki with Laurie a try, it has been a great experience for me. more

Reiki experiences 10/31/2007

While preparing for major surgery earlier this year, I used Reiki in combination with deep massage and acupuncture. Reiki, on its own, and together with the other treatments was very beneficial. The best nights sleep I had in the hospital and in rehab were after Reiki sessions! My practitioner Anne is a Reiki School alumna. Based on my care, the Reiki School gets the Gold Stars. more

Great session with Patti 10/31/2007

I had a session with Patti V during a period of stress and multiple transitions. She was absolutely wonderful. She has a great energy and I left feeling relaxed and revitalized. I would highly recommend her to anyone seeking a healing treatment. more

Calming Reiki session with Anne Ostroff 10/29/2007

Not really knowing what to expect in my first session, Anne created a very relaxing and soothing environment with her presence and calming energy. She seemed to be very intuned to the practice and was not pretentious in any way. You don't need to know too much about Reiki to experience the benefits. Unlike more intrusive therapies like massage or accupuncture, my Reiki experience with Anne was an internal healing mediated through the reiki practictioner. I hightly recommed a hour session to begin your healing. Pros: Great for first timers!!! more

highly recommended 10/29/2007

I went to see Patti at the Reiki School and Clinic a few days after being assaulted by a group of men. I was extremely anxious, paranoid, and I found it extremely difficult to focus on anything, let alone what I had been through. I had a one hour Reiki session with Patti. she was very understanding, kind and welcoming. She was very compasionate in talking about my assault, and after an hour session with her I left the table relaxed, calm and able to focus again. I actually fell asleep toward the end of the session, something I had not done for days! It was like a veil or weight had been lifted from me. It was strange at first because I had been feeling so distraught on coming to the session, and left so almost balanced. The walk home was peaceful, to say the least. I have now been able to do serious healing work and thank Patti from the bottom of my heart. It's as if she gave me back to me so I could go on with my life again. Of that session with Patti I will always be grateful Pros: compassionate, high expertise, welcoming Cons: none that I found! more
