My mother 83 went there and waited for over 3 hours without any help. She had to leave without treatment. They treat people there like objects. more

I have nothing but the highest praise for Nazareth Hospital. I was in the hospital for thirteen days. The first three in surgery and then rehabilitation. The care I received from each and every individual was exceptional. Twenty-five years ago the assessment for Nazareth would have been poor. However, today, the name should be changed to The NEW Nazareth Hospital. From admission to discharge everything went as planned and the staff was very encouraging and helpful. more

worst hospital. doctors here are strong advocates for hospice for patients instead of trying to save them. more

Very nice staff 11/10/2005

Nazareth Hospital is a long way from my home, but it is still my favorite community hospital. They really care about you here, and you always see the staff making conversation or even hugging the patients. This hospital works hard to make your visit pleasant; everyone at the entrance greets you and the main entrance has been renovated to look like a hotel lobby, complete with comfy armchairs and hardwood floors. There is even a meditation pond with a fountain outside! As you walk around, you see that everyone here takes pride in their work. It makes a difference when you see how the different departments decorate their halls for special events; you see they have spirit! Also, when I brought a family member here for an allergic reaction, the ER took care of her quickly. A++ Oh, and by the way, the food's mostly awful. Once I had some nice fried chicken, but that's all. (However the cafeteria staff are very friendly!) more

SICK BUT HAPPY 6/1/2005

A FEW YEARS AGO I WAS IN NAZARETH HOSPITAL WITH A BLOOD CLOT IN MY LEG. YES, I WAS EXTREMELY SICK BUT THE NURSES WERE VERY COURTEOUS AND EXTREMELY HELPFUL. AT TIMES I FELT THAT I WAS NOT IN A HOSPITAL THE NURSES AND DOCTORS WERE EXCELLENT. I HAVE NO COMPLAINTS AND WILL NOT HESITATE TO GO BACK IF NEED BE. WELL I DO HAVE ONE COMPLAINT, THE FOOD, IT WAS TERRIBLE. BUT THEN AGAIN HOW MANY HOSPITALS DO HAVE GOOD FOOD. more

Go to another hospital if you have a choice 5/3/2005

There's nothing special about Nazareth, except maybe its location (for those who don't want to go far from NE Phila). The staff are mediocre, few are very helpful. Translation services for non-English speakers are advertised but almost never available. Physicians more hurried than anywhere else (compared to "big-name" hospitals, as well as other smaller ones). more
