I LOVE THIS LOUNGE. To the squirrel, it is the freshly fallen jumbo sized nut. Red Sky is a refreshing addition to tired Fanieul Hall and its tired, overweight, slothful and clueless crowd. Friendly patrons that tend away from cargo pants and baseball hats. The decor is very forward. The crowd shows off a lot of hot guys and hot girls. The girls that work there are usually all hot and actually nice, which is unusual in Boston. When people classify Red Sky as upscale, this is best a reflection of the high earners that frequent the lounge. You see some great clothes, but never any attitude. I am pretty surprised by the overall friendliness. Red Sky magically sets a warm tone, with phenomenal DJ mixes at a palatable volume. If you want a healthy plate, go for the antipasto, which is generous, fresh and more like a mediterranean health plate. The grilled veggies are perfect, and the selections varied enough in size and style to suit a table filled with different tastes. Red Sky stocks top shelf booze in all categories, including single malt Scotch. (If they don't have any, I drank it all.) Red Sky knows how to treat its customers and regulars well, being run by two notable industry professionals. My only suggestion is that the TV's need closed-captioning. And soon!
Pros: Warm, forward, chic, stylish, and cool. Peaceful and happy crowd.
Cons: No closed captioning on TV's. Not enough hot male bartenders.
