Out of all the restaurants in Buffalo, I chose this one for my birthday dinner. I felt that supporting a local restaurant would be best during these hard financial times and since they specialize in prime rib, it would be tasty.
First err was the seafood bisque; I have never had a brown bisque before, but it was palatable.
Second problem was the stuffed peppers; the peppers weren't even cooked. It seemed like the chef just stuffed them with cheese without ever precooking the peppers even slightly or putting them under the broiler afterward to give them at least the appearance of being cooked.
Third and final disaster was the prime rib. My boyfriend, his mother, and myself all had ordered our cuts medium rare. My boyfriends father ordered his medium. When our entrees appeared, all of ours were medium well. The server came over to check on us and I was not eating because I was irritated by yet another issue at this restaurant. We told her that we ordered our prime rib medium rare and she responded that they ran out of prime rib. Uhhh. You ran out of prime rib on a Thursday night at an establishment that specializes in prime rib and then instead of notifying us that you don't have our temps available, you serve us what you had leftover which was totally not what was ordered? Not only was that poor decision making on the chef and owners part, but also the server. I work in the food service industry and if we are out of something, I tell my guests. I would NEVER do what they did.
They only comped 2 beers, not even 1 of the incorrectly handed out entrees they so graciously provided us with. The place looks like it's falling apart and if this is how they treat all of their patrons, I can understand why.
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything
