Red Lobster Redemption 3/25/2006

I went to Red Lobster today to give them a receipt for the new pants I bought to replace the ones the waitress ruined when she spilled the drink on me. Well, not only did they give me my money back for the pants, I got $30 in gift certificates to "give them another shot!" Wow! That was nice. I was bummed the day I got the drink spilled on me, and really didn't get to enjoy my meal. I thought they should have comped my meal right then, but this is good too. Thanks a lot Red Lobster, you've restored my faith! more

Ever have a drink spilled on you 3/18/2006

I am of the opinion that if you are at a restaurant and have a drink spilled on you, your meal should be free. I am not necessarioy saying that everyone at the table should receive a free meal, although that would be nice. I recently had a situation where a server spilled a whole glass of iced tea on me. It was wet, it was cold and it was brown. I happened to be wearing white pants. We received a 25% discount on our bill. I have since written the restaurant, but that was only yesterday, so I don't know what the response will be. I was humiliated and embarassed, on top of the fact that our food hadn't even arrived, so I had to sit through the rest of the meal like that! more
