\r I sometimes eat lunch alone and Recipe is one of the few places where I feel totally comfortable doing so. It use to be that if you ate lunch at the bar in this trendy restaurant you'd have four feet in either direction to yourself. \r \r Now that Recipe has been discovered you are lucky to get a seat at the bar, but once you do, you tend to meet the most interesting people. It was always a place where the bartender and the hostest both provide lively conversation but now fellow diners have gotten into the act. \r \r The food ingredients always seem very fresh and delicious as does the presentation. The prices are excellent for the UWS . All in all Recipe is my favorite place for lunch. Pros: Excellent Menu & Really Good Prices Cons: Could be bigger more

FINALLY - great food in the UWS 1/10/2010

since moving to the UWS from the west vill/meatpacking area, i was sorely disappointed by the dearth of good food/cool atmosphere eateries here. with recipe, i think i appreciate the neighborhood a tiny bit more. Pros: lunch prefixe, yummy, cool retro/industrial decor Cons: not baby-friendly more
