Dr. Teasly & Her Staff Are Awesome! 9/17/2010

I just want to take a minute and let everyone know that Dr. Teasly and her nurse TJ are awesome. I have been seeing them for over 10 years. I had a difficult birth, I have fibroids, and seem to always have woman related complaints. They each have been very helpful and patient every time I am seen or call for advice. Thank you Dr. Teasly & TJ for you love of your work and care for your patients health & well being. Andria more

Excellent Care 7/22/2010

I have been a patient of Dr. Tammi for at least 15 years, though I have known her longer. She is more than just a doctor, she is a friend. She has cared for both my daughters and my older daughter had two excellent deliveries, although with the second one, she didn't make it to the hospital, but all still went well! My younger daugher is also under her care, and she takes the time to explain to her the dangers of premarital sex, std's and the like. She did the same with my elder daughter when she was a victim of assault. She is kind, compassionate, and caring. She is also a mother, which I believe people seem to forget. I am sorry for peole who say they had a bad experience, but look at the size of the practice!! I remember when, and it has grown for positive reasons-positive feedback and word of mouth! Keep doing what you're doing Mid-Carolina OB-GYN! Remember when you are in the waiting area, babies come unexpectedly, some mothers are high risk, some are victims of trauma(which you won't see). But a lot goes on back there and you all are more than a number. Through all the years, I have been greeted like the woman I am and treated with the utmost respect. Patience is the key, because you never know when that emergency could be you!!! more

No Good 6/28/2010

Good: nothing. Bad: STAFF outside of the Doctors....especially Candy Clark....after unfortunate rumors of her personal life were sprend between some mutual friends I tried to put that information aside. She is very rude and redneck...Dr.'s should consider a more level of "Class" for their staff that deals with THEIR patients!!!. more

Love most of the MD's!! 4/5/2010

When I miscarried, Dr. Groff was WONDERFUL! She was on call that weekend and opened the office for me and did the u/s and cried with us when we saw that we lost the baby. She also delivered my son and was great! I will never go anywhere else because of her! I also loved Dr. Stephens and Dr. Woodruff. Both of them have great bedside manner. The only MD I did not care for was Dr. Watson. She isn't terrible it is just that she is no where near as caring and easy to talk to as Dr. Groff, Dr. Stephens and Dr. Woodruff. I was not terribly fond of the front office staff as they are not overly friendly but I can deal with that because of the wonderful MD's. I would very much recommend the three above mentioned MD's! more

Popular for a reason 7/9/2009

I changed to Mid-Carolina in the middle of my third pregnancy because all of my friends who went there seemed a lot happier than I did at my old group. I only wish I had done so sooner. My care was thorough and efficient. It was my best delivery! more

DON'T GO TO MID-CAROLINA OBGYN 2/4/2009

This practice is a factory. You are treated like a number and not a person. You will wait 2 hrs. for your appointment and will see the doctor for 5 minutes. They rush you from station to station and the staff are rude. I suffered a miscarriage and got no help and was rushed out without being able to ask all the questions I needed answered. I would not recommend this practice to my worst enemy. more

Mid-Carolina Obgyn 6/18/2007

For about 4 years I have been going to Mid-carolina. I had no problems. But when I got pregnant, it seemed that that care I got being diabetic was horrible. Their office is listed as high risk. Once I confirmed that I was pregnant, about 2 weeks later I saw the mid-carolina who handles pregnancy counseling. I asked the nurse if I could be ectopic or having a miscarriage because I was having sudden severe cramping. The nurse (name began with a B.) told me my cramping was normal and not to worry about it. I should have known this women was not trained when she asked me what A1C meant. The next day I woke up to find that I had bled and probably miscarried. I called their office to see if I could come in, and they asked if I could come in later because they were busy. I came in anyway and waited for 30 minutes. I saw Dr. Woodruff who was not my normal doctor. I had an ultrasound and was told I miscarried. The information was just matter of fact, no counseling or even suggestion of what to do next. There was no information regarding what to do, what would happen with the tissue that was possibly remaining and no followup. I bled for 5 weeks and passed the sac about 2 weeks after I was told I miscarried. I called their office a total of 11 times (I have phone records of the calls) to ask if it was normal and if I should come in. The nurses told me that bleeding for 5 weeks was "normal" and different for each woman. I reminded her I was diabetic and at risk for infection and this could cause fertility problems later. I was told I would get a call back, and was never called back. At a later call, When I suggested that tissue may still be left the nurse asked me if I was a doctor, and how I would know this. The internet is a great way to get information! At that point my husband I just walked in that morning and said we would wait to see a dr. They ran the hcg test to see if any tissue was remaining. Of course when I saw my doctor (Dr. Stephens - great doctor, bedside manner), she asked why I was not seen before and why I did not come in earlier for the followup pregnancy test. Of course, there was tissue remaining and it was solved for a simple shot. 4 days later my bleeding stopped. The miscarriage was no fault of their office, but there was no followup care. Their office can handle non serious matters but if you are high risk I reccommend the Atrium. We complained to Dr. Stephens about the nurses and the information they gave us and she said she would talk to the administration. I don't know if anything has changed but once I found out I was pregnant again, I did not want to take a risk. more
