I started a simple Ch7 process back in March 2011, payment made in full at that time.... guess what...Still in the process and haven't heard anything about what's going on! I sent emails and made calls, with no followup. Only when I threatened to go to Texas State Bar Assoc did I finally get a response and an appointment to do my final signing of paperwork which was at the end of May!! After that, was told that the paper work would be filed with court and about 30-45 days later I would have to go to 351 meeting, and afterwards, my debts should be discharged. None of this has happened and we are now at the end of July. I've called, emailed, and no one has followed up. I've had to actually had to go ahead an contact State Bar Assoc to start a grievance process. Think about it, I had to compile ALL my bills, input ALL info into some website they instructed, do the credit counseling course, collect all paystubs (twice actually, on their part because so much time had went by before final signing, nothing was up to date anymore!!), and all they did was PRINTOUT all the info I complied and I signed it!! Really!! What am I paying you for again??? And if you were able to get my documents together in less than 12 hours after I threatened State Bar...why wasn't this about to be done in 2.5 months? Everytime I called, they had appointments with clients, etc.....well about those that have already paid you and your living off their money and stringing them along for months??? How does that work. Not understanding. At this point, I'm beyond pissed and unsatisfied with service!! A few months ago,I spoke with the attorney who Ms. Atkinson had handling my case at first and when he didn't follow through like he said, Ms. Atkinson told me she would be handling my case from then on and assured me she would take care of it, and even apologized for the experience. And now still nothing....I almost feel like they took my money and ran with it!! This is absolutely ridiculous...Hope this helps someone else!!! If you can help and afford to pay a little more to another attorney, I would suggest doing so to save yourself the headache and time and have your stuff filed in a timely manner. Glad I wasn't in jeapordy of losing my house, car. etc!!!!
