My favorite long-time cell phone company has been Qwest. Everytime I go out and comparison shop, I still keep coming back to them. They even gave me two weeks free so I could review other companies and still keep their service. When money was tight they worked out a plan for me so I could still afford a cell phone. What I love most about them is they work with me and the customer service is always helpful and supportive. I never have to wait forever on hold or be the bad guy in order to get my problems solved. While their coverage area is not as extensive as the competition, they have been a great company for me. more

Qwest #2 4/12/2006

Recently my daughters cell phone met with a bottle of coke. Luckily we have the insurance on the phone so we knew it would be ok. Little did we know the hoops you have to jump through to get the replacement. First we went to the Qwest kiosk where we bought the phone. We explained what happened they looked at the phone (which would not even turn on). Then they proceed to question me on whether or not I purchased the insurance. (I have 2 teenagers with cell phones and have had to replace more than I can remember - YES I bought the insurance) Then they proceeded to tell me that I needed to call the insurance company. Gave me the phone number - Couldn't they just call the number there? So we called the number - closed. So I call in the morning - Who answers the phone - Qwest customer service ??????????????????????????? I do have to say that the replacement phone was delivered the next day!!!!! I also learned that if you lose your phone, you have to file a police report before they will replace the phone. more

Qwest - lacking customer service 3/25/2006

Qwest advertises that they have great customer service. I disagree. It took them almost three months to clear up the mess they make during a recent move. I simply wanted to disconnect my home phone and only be billed for my cell phone coverage. Something that should have been seamless was the head ache of the year. Too bad thier cellphone contracts are so long. more
