Customer service is awful, the guy up front is the worse. Never admits fault to anything, very defensive, never apologizes. Very condescending towards any issue we ask. After more...

The Short Version: Pupsi made us feel like we were unwelcome and did something wrong. I think this is a good way to alienate new customers. \r Longer Version: We had our dog and foster dog taken care of on a Sunday. On our way home, we drove through a few thunderstorms that made traffic bad. We called pupsi to say we were unsure if we would make it in time. We knew we'd be within 5 minutes, the GPS said 4. The 3rd call I made and was able to speak to an employee. She didn't really give us a yes or no on if they'd stay a few minutes. It was more of an ""OK we'll be there for a few minutes but not long."" One wrong turn later we arrived at Pupsi at 6:06PM. The Pupsi people were getting in their vehicles obviously about to leave. They actually stopped and opened back up so we could get our dogs and we are very grateful for that. However, it was one of the most nauseatingly irritating experiences I have ever had. One female employee decided to grumble from the moment she opened her truck door to the moment we lost sight of her. She said things like ""Ugg... 6:06. Two minutes..."" ""You don't understand. The bank wouldn't stay open a few minutes..."" Literally grumbling the entire time. The other employee didn't say anything, she helped the grumbler get the dogs and close back up. \r \r There are a few things we didn't know (because they didn't tell us) 1: They fed our dogs. 2. They would have boarded the dogs overnight at no additional charge. They also failed to ask pertinent information when we dropped the dogs off. There were no questions asked of my fiance who dropped them off. No information was provided as to their care, feeding schedule, or boarding concerns. The only thing we knew when we called was that they closed at 6PM on Sunday. The only thing they had to do was provide us with the information that the dogs would be fed and boarded. That would have solved the problem. We could have picked up our dogs the next morning. By the way, they did not have permission to feed one of the dogs in the first place.\r \r To the lady who told us ""You don't understand."" Here is something I do understand: You don't do that to customers because they are going to tell everyone about their experience. \r When you made the decision to help us instead of drive away, you should have skipped the pointless angry tirade. Also, the time to explain about your boarding and feeding practices to a new customer is upon drop off, not at the register at pickup. You were wrong, you treated us horribly and you made us very angry. more

I have boarded my dogs at Pupsi since 1998, and I would never leave them in somebody else's care. The dogs are looked after well, and they get a chance to be dogs among dogs for a few days in their lives. \r I read some comments about dirt and the occasional scuff. Yes, that can happen. Like children who sometimes need a band-aid. more

AVOID. If you care about your animals... do not take them here! We were heading on a family vacation and decided to take our dog here. Our flight was the same afternoon and the reviews looked good so we decided to give it a try. The day we dropped our dog off the lady grabbed my dog by his neck and pulled him in. Our dog looked terrified. My mother was almost in tears about leaving him and fretted the entire flight. We got back and without a doubt they were mean to him. Most of the dogs were shaking. And mine had his tail between his legs and was covered in pee. He was actually yellow!! I really don’t think they even let the dogs out of the kennel. We now go to Doggie Village! That place is great. more

Left my dogs here for a week and when I picked up my female had a bad cut under her eye and my male had a severe lung infection. I was told the cut was their when I left the dog which is completely wrong as my vet agreed the cut was not over 3 days old. My male was very sick and and I was not informed of any of this. I was extremely disappointed in my first visit and would not trust this place with a stuffed animal. Please if you care about your pets as we do don't use this place. The owner is also very rude and uncaring about anything but the money. more

GREAT PLACE - 5 STAR SERVICE, CARE, FRIENDS 3/26/2012

I found Pupsi back in 2007 when I boarded my last dog for 6 months there while staying with my husband's father who was dying in New Jersey. They kept me advised, handled his medical needs, and all in all spoiled him rotten. It got to the point that he recognized where I was going when on the way and would start ""head-butting"" me to get out, he was so excited. These people are the best ""dog people"" I have ever seen. And they are just as kind and considerate to the dog owners as well. If you want to have ""NO WORRIES"", Pupsi is the place to board. They are boarding my new puppy now and have even worked with me to get him over his neurotic behavior. I rescue my dogs and this one was people shy and not leash trained. Now he's absolutely perfect on a leash (and it only took about two days and I was amazed). Although he's still people shy, he's coming right along. This new puppy already knows when he's going to Pupsi and trys to crawl all over me to get out and get to play with the other dogs. I've read the other reviews and the lower end ones must have been written by people who have problems of their own, since they were definitely not discribing Pupsi. more

AVOID THIS PLACE!!! 10/28/2011

I decided to take my dogs to Pupsi after a coworker said that her dog seem to enjoyed it. So I looked up the company and it's profile online and it seemed like a place where dogs could have fun. The first time I went to Pupsi the women at the front waited for me to speak first without saying hello. That should have been my first sign. When I picked my dogs up she acted like she couldn't speak to me when I picked them up. Made a poor decision to take them there again and she ask goes in her office to talk with another employee. The other women calls my baby who is dressed in pink head to toe an ""it."" They are RUDE and UNFRIENDLY! All I can think is not another day will I give money to bad business. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. more

Horrible Customer Service 7/18/2011

Okay so I took my 5 month old Toy Poodle to Pupsi last week for grooming. After doing thorough research and reading all the good reviews I thought he was in good hands. This was his first time getting groomed and this entire experience left me less than impressed. more

What an amazing place for a pup! 9/23/2010

When I recently adopted my 4 week old black lab puppy ""Jackie"" , she immediately became a member of our family - and I love her like a child. So it is no wonder I was VERY nervous in finding the right person or place to help me with her training. more

Avoid!!! 5/15/2010

do no use this place!!! My daughter took her dog there, horrible grooming!!! And 2 days after being there he came down with kennel cough!!! Stay away from this place!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cons: my daughter's dog got sick after being here! more

Pupsi is Awesome! 5/11/2010

I've been with Pupsi fo r7+ years. Whether I needed a lot (extra week of doggy daycare because I was out of the country) or minor last minute assistance (1 day daycare) Pupsi is there! My dogs are so happy to go - as soon as we pull in they act like they are home. They wag their tails and jump around, and when I pick them up sometimes they are reluctant to leave. Pupsi is a fantastic facility run by true dog lovers and is by far a superior facility. Pros: They are the best Cons: NO drawbacks! more

They taught my troubled dog what it meant to be a dog 5/10/2010

I have been in rescue all my adult life in several different states. I have dealt with many vets, trainers and care facilities. I am very impressed with Pupsi and their staff. Pros: They truly care about the dogs in their care more

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! 5/7/2010

As a professional dog trainer and owner of several breeds, I have visited Pupsi and gotten bad vibes from the owner of this facility. Cons: Very bad vibes, rude and arrogant!! more

ONLY PLACE GOOD ENOUGH FOR OUR FURRY-KIDS 1/8/2010

After much trial and tribulation with other so called ?dog daycare and boarding? places in Cary, we started taking our 2 yellow labs to Pupsi about 2 years ago. It has been the best choice we have made. Pros: BEST IN TOWN more

Treat dogs OK, Mary-Owner-condescending, disrespectful 8/17/2009

I worked for Pupsi about a year ago for 6 months. While I was there, I was ignored, not trained properly, accused of lying (when I was told to do something by an employee, that apparently was against their policy.) then not paid what was promised. Pros: treat dogs pretty good Cons: Treat employees& disgruntled customers disrespectfully more

A second home for my dog! 11/18/2008

My dog Roscoe has been going to Day Camp almost every weekday for the past few months. He started having issues staying at home by himself (even with another dog) and I couldn't bare to crate him while I was at work all day ,so I started to look for day care centers. Luckily I didn't have to look far from home and found Pupsi. Not only does Pupsi have the best rates and facilities around, they actually take my dog, who is considered a ""bully breed"" mix and discriminated against at most of the chain businesses. Roscoe was simply evaluated and is placed in an area with other dogs he plays well with- what a notion! Another perk was that while he is at Pupsi, he is running around and playing almost ALL day- for no extra charge! Some other facilities actually charged extra for ""play time"" or ""social hour"" and it was only a fraction of the day! Roscoe gets very excited anytime I say the word ""camp"" or I take down the leash he goes to camp with- he absolutely loves going and I feel secure knowing he's safe and well cared for while I'm at work! Pros: Experienced staff, great prices, lots of playtime for dogs Cons: parking lot is a little awkward- but not thier fault more

Excellent facility! 9/26/2008

I have been taking my beagle to Pupsi for the last year. He loves it! He basically falls asleep in the car when I pick him up because he is so worn out from playing! All of the other boarding places keep them locked up all day or have a small room for them to play in. Pupsi is different! I went on a facility tour last time and was so impressed with the cleanliness, attention to detail and the large play area that my dog loves. Having him at a place I can trust when I go out of town is priceless. I am so happy with the staff for being so caring of my little guy. Also, I moved to Charlotte but still board him here any chance I get! Pros: great prices, large area to play! Cons: parking is kinda difficult more

Horrible customer service and my dog was scared to go back 9/11/2008

I am writing this because i went to pupsi years ago and currently have heard a couple people say they've been recommended to go there and all i have to say is stay away. My dog was fine going the first couple times and then he started acting funny when i dropped him off. the last time i took him there he sat bewteen my legs, looked up at me and i started to cry and couldn't stop. he did not want to stay and was scared. I had no choice in not letting him stay my plane was leaving in 3 hours for vacation. I worried and cried the whole time. Please if you love you animals stay away. Cons: not friendly, my dog was sick more

The BEST place to have a dog trained...ever... 5/15/2008

My entire family is as soft as mush when it comes to dogs. Thanks to the edition of 2 rescues, we are now up to 4, and the only place we would ever dream of taking our dogs is Pupsi. We have used them for 3 years now, and they have consistently delivered every time. Tracy and the wonderful staff have worked with our spoiled monsters on everything from basic commands to walking to obsessive habits, and we see leaps and bounds of improvement every time we take them there. I was completely stunned to see how much progress one of my dogs made in one day on his tennis-ball obsession. The staff and assistants are completely professional, and any remark otherwise is a complete myth. I have never had any unpleasantness with anyone at the front desk, and it would do everyone who rated this place one-star well to remember that these are dog trainers and not the wait staff at TGIFridays or that server in ""Office Space"". Tracy, Mary, Trace, and the rest are totally amicable and friendly, but they are in a dog-based environment and they will stay cool and collected because it's part of how they maintain the peace. The place they work in is clean and tidy, and so well together they can even keep a parrot in the same room with many animals. Pupsi is the best place in town for dogs on any issue, from obedience to boarding to day care, and I can't wait to take mine in tomorrow. To the stafff and assistants at Pupsi, thank you so much! more

Amazing service, Wonderful people, A love for dogs! 4/11/2008

I have been taking my dog to Pupsi for daycare, boarding & grooming (on occasion) for over 2 years now! My dog has been going since he was 10 weeks old as they came highly recommended. I absolutely LOVE everyone there, and Max knows the word ""daycare"". He gets so excited he can hardly wait to get in the car & drive to Pupsi! The entire staff is amazing! They all know Max, know my name & enjoy what the do! Every time you walk in, they say hello, how are you, etc. It's a very family oriented place, and I know they keep my dogs and all their dogs (day care dogs & boarders) best interest in mind with every decision they make. Pros: location, rates & customer service more

Wouldn't go there unless I really have to 4/6/2008

- my dog was always coming with stong chlorine smell so I had to wash him pretty much every time after this day care Pros: cheap, location Cons: bad customer service, bad dog care, not clean more
