Well my issues with this Hospital go back 15-20 years. I took my 4 year old son to the Emergency room for the Flu. We waited 4 1/2 hrs to get in to see a doctor, when we finally go in it took the doctor another 1 1/2 hour too see my son even the nurse was wondering what was going on. But anyway he finally came over looked at my son and said he has a cold give him this cold meds and take him home. Well putting my son?s life in the doctor?s hands I did just that. Well after a few hours at home he was getting worse so I called the hospital to talk to the doctor they said he will call me back. After 4 hrs I took him to Dubois Hospital and we walked in the door and had prompt service and we seen the doctor in about 10 minutes. Within about 45 minutes the doc came back and said we are going to admit him for the flu. The funny thing was we never said anything about being in punxsy. My son was in the hospital for 6 days. This isn?t the only time this has accrued. I have a friend that was having chest pains and went to punxsy and again they sent him home saying it was gas. Well we got up in the middle of the night with bad pains, his wife took him to Dubois and here he was having a Heart Attack and could of dyed. This hospital has a lot of issues I will not step another foot in the doors again. I will take the chance to drive the 19 miles to Dubois then put my family?s life in the hands of a doctor/construction worker. I will also add when I called the hospital asking to talk to someone about my issues I GOT HUNG UP ON. What kind of service is that?
Pros: It's close to my house
Cons: I thin the Doctors got their PHD's out of a cracker jack box.
