"The three movers were on time, professional, courteous and worked hard. However, in respect to the cost: I was told the only "extras" were for packing supplies, and since I packed all of my own things, I didn't think this would be a factor. Well, the movers wrapped everything in tape or plastic wrap--including furniture which was covered with free moving blankets. This ended up costing me an extra $115. more

Showed up on time after our last movers canceled on us and did not complained even once. Great prices even on last minute moves, did not take advantage of our situation. Thank you prodigy! more

Prodigy guys are hard working, courteous , efficient and above all careful. After been ripped off countless times by home depot kind of companies that showed up with a uhaul i can say that afford ability with a quality service can still be combined. thank you Prodigy! more

I called a few movers for quotes and these guys not only came recommended by a friend, but their rates were pretty comparable to other people I spoke to. I've done my fair share of moving in the past few years. And this time it was the first time I moved into a house I own, so I was very stressful about everything from my new hardwood floors to the walls to the appliance’s my kids beds and everything in between, with all my past moves I am used to deal with damages when you move things will happen there's no way to avoid it. When you're looking for movers I think that what you get is what you paid for, was I wrong this guys did everything right, the price I paid was even less then what I paid other companies in the past I hired 4 guys, they showed at our house on time and quickly got to work. They didn't seem to mind that we wanted to speed up the job by carrying some of the boxes ourselves. We had them pack and label almost everything , Our place was really difficult to move out of and when we got the our new home we had them unpack everything this guys did an amazing job, we had no brakeage no scratches they carefully placed everything where we asked them to and my wife did asked them to move our sofa’s like 10 times but they didn’t seemed to mind, overall I think that they offer great value, I had a pleasure dealing with them from start to finish from the office staff to the movers who actually did the job for us everything was just great no hype just perfect. I will definitely use them again and will also have my office moves done with them. more

These guys are AWESOME! Very nice movers and not once did I get the creepy vibe like I had to watch out or they were going to try and steal my stuff (my mother warns me about these things, god love her). Oh, and did I mention that their rates are unbelievably low? About a week after they moved my stuff, my roomate and I called them to pick up items bought from Craigslist and bring them to our place. Again, they were great. I'll definitely use them in the future. more

I hate to have to give such a poor rating because the men that actually did the work on our job seemed experienced and efficient. However, I am extremely disappointed, to the point of wanting to take legal action, for the price I ended up paying on a job that I was quote $1000-$1300 for. I have moved our family 5 times, and am fully aware of the costs of moving. It is always a good idea to give yourself $500 in "extras" that will end up being charged above and beyond the estimate. However, when our total came to over $3800... you can imagine how shocked we were. Nick, the salesman I spoke to 4 times before the move, assured me that based on his experience, asking me how long I'd lived at my home, the number of rooms, the square feet, and my walking through and giving him a detailed description of all that we had to move, including the yard and garage, that with his knowledge and Prodigy's 10 years of experience in the industry, his estimate was accurate. I was sure to stress the importance of this because we were on a budget and debating how much of the move we could afford to hire out. Because the rates were low, even assuming an extra $500 , we decided to go full service. Had we known the actual total, we certainly would have packed ourselves. We were not in hurry to get out, but simply value our time with our children and thought that an extra $1000 would be worth not having to pack ourselves. The packing materials alone were almost $1500. (We could have provided boxes from our company, which I explained to Nick and he assured their box costs are very low and he was confident would be no more than a $500 expense to us. Unless the management of this company offers a discount to try to make up for their severe misquote, I would have to recommend NOT using this company. The lack of integrity and professionalism in representing themselves before the bill comes is just too misleading. more

I've used mover about half dozen times and I can say hands down these guys are the best! They were on time, fairly priced, curious and worked fast which is a big consideration when paying by the hour. I've already recommended them to friends. Pros: On time is a big deal for me Cons: none more

I used Prodigy Movers this past weekend. I had a small move, only a Studio apartment, so I wanted to use a company that had a 2-3 hour minimum. I received several quotes, and went with Prodigy because their Customer Service Staff was very pleasant, informative and helpful, and they had a 3 hour minimum. Based on the Customer Service over the phone, I was anticipating a seamless move. I had been given a timeframe of 12 - 5, and they arrived at 2:00. However, when the foreman came to my door, he was smoking a cigarette - very unprofessional. My apartment is on the 3rd floor, and thus I know this makes it a more challenging job, but this is what the guys are paid for. Well, they complained the entire time, which made me very uncomfortable - moving is disruptive in and of itself, and when you are paying for a service you would expect a better attitude. The guys also bickered with each other the whole time, as the foreman was constantly on his cell phone with personal calls. Another complaint is that they used tape to secure padding around my furniture, and left the empty contents on my floor. Finally, when they were finished, they asked for gratuity, which I always give, but have never before been asked for. And when I signed the final paperwork, the foreman was once again smoking while going over it with me. I would not recommend Prodigy to anyone. In the past I have used My American Movers, and would have used them this time except they had a 4 hour minimum. This was a huge mistake, I will definitely be using them for all my future moving needs as they are extremely professional and took the job very seriously, making the entire moving experience a positive one. more
