Best

Prime Italian is a brother restaurant to Prime 112 it has excellent quality foods and great ambiance. (1)...

Worst

One and a half hour wait still not seated. This is with a reservation. I guess the food is good but we wouldn't know.

Poor service, table was barely touched. Steak took a long time to come. I asked the manager to check on it and then it came immediately. It was Luke warm... No discount was offered and I just wanted to get out of there. I do not recommend this place. more

I really enjoy this restaurant. The steaks are truly exceptional, and the menu seems alittle broader than it's sister restaurant Prime 112. Alittle pricey, but well worth the indulgence. more

I was a little nervous taking my young son to a upscale place in Miami . I wanted to try this place grabbed a table outside . The staff was really great with the baby and we ordered a veal chop parm was great nice size . The broccoli Rapini was great side. Had a stone crab the claw was the size of my hand huge but pricey . There was not a kid in site and got us great service and great attention to detail . more

I went there on vacation in early Jan 2012 and went here for dinner. The food was ok but overpriced (and I travel all over the world). Worst part is they charged my AmEx twice and through several phone calls they have not credited me for the extra charge of $160! Bad customer service. They probably like to try and rip off tourists. more

This restuarant has slipped over the years since it opened. Myles, the owner, uses it as the overflow restaurant for his Prime 112 across the street. The prices are too high and the food is sub par most of the time. The bartenders are not nice or remotely cool like across the street at Prime 112. Unfortunately, I have gotten food poisening at both restuarants more than six times. Guess that is a sign to stop going there. Every time I tried to call the management to tell them I got sick on the food they did not return the call and did not care to know what food they served me that poisened me and left me on or near the bathroom floor for 3-5 days per event. Net net here: The owner does not care if he serves you bad food and gets you sick because he has such a huge following and is making millions. Shame on you Myles. You can do better. But for those of you considering eating here, do so at your own risk!! more

1st of all I made reservations and I still had to wait 1 hour... the food in general was horrible. The only good thing here were the fried Oreos and the bread they give. This restaurant is over priced. more

Best Italian meal outside of Italy. But share, share, share! The portions fed us for 3 days of leftovers - not a problem, the extras were just as good! more

Prime Italian is everything but an authentic Italian restaurant. However, we had a great experience last night when during a busy Boat Show Saturday we enjoyed a very gratifying dinner and a superb service by our waiter Paul. Although extremely busy, Paul, was unbelievably attentive and courteous. He basically placed the order for us and we loved everything we ate. The bill was high but, does it really matter when you get such a treatment? Surely above the South Beach standards by a mile. We'll go back. more

my wife went there last night for our 21st anniversary and it just couldnt have been any better. the crispy fried calamari was as good as it gets. i had the jumbo shrimp on a bed of garlic soft toast and a picata sauce which was sooooooo good! my wife had the chilean sea bass which blew us both away. we topped it off sharing a warm chocalte pudding cake which was topped with amerone cherries! place was rocking, wait staff very attentive and our personnal waiter was friendly, knowledgeable and i recomend anyone who wants a great italian dinner, that this the place to go! max : ) more

We had a reservation for 9:45 p.m. that night. We arrived about five minutes before our reservation and checked in with the hostess. The hostess informed us that our wait would be approximately 15 minutes, which was not a problem for our group. \r \r My friend and I would check back in on our reservation and was told "approximately 15 minutes," for the next two hours. The sad fact is that we weren't the only table this was happening too. When this issue was brought up to the head hostess/manager my friend and I were both dismissed and to add insult to injury, we started to see people that came in way after us getting a table. My friend then asked the head hostess/manager to speak to a manager and she informed her that she was the manager on duty. My friend then asked to speak to the owner and was told that she didn't know where he was. Surprisingly, he happened to be standing next to my friend. My friend expressed her disappointment with Prime's customer service and he said he would speak with the manager about the issue. After two hours of waiting and complaining we were finally seated.\r \r We sat for about 30 minutes without service from a waiter. I had to call for a manager, who ended up taking our table's order. Bread and water were dropped off by a bus boy, which was the best service we received all night. Even after the manager took our order, the server for our section did not check back with the table to see how we were doing or if our food was fine. We only saw him when it was time to ask for the check. I find that to be completely unacceptable.\r \r The one saving grace for the evening was your menu. The food was fantastic and everyone at our table enjoyed their entrees, but the service was deplorable. more

The food here was excellent, the portions were huge and the place was not as crowded as it's affiliate Prime 112 across the street. The complimentary garlic bread is the best I have ever had. more

Amazing ambiance but horrible dinner. I never knew it was possible to mess up chicken parmesian. Not only that, the tomato sauce on my pasta was bad . No where as good as prime 112 more

Editorial review from Urbanspoon 9/25/2009

This was a disapointment. I must admit that the 500 days aged proscuito was very good, but the rest was nothing like that. Eventough I specifically asked for the risoto "al dente", it was overcooked and not good at all. It seems like the meat is very good, following the steps of Prime One Twelve, but what is the point of having a Italian restaurant in which the best food is not Italian? If I want steak, I can go to Prime Obe Twelve, which is very good indeed. The wine list was also very disapointing. Very hard to find a wine (old enough to be) ready to drink for a reasonable price. I really expected more of this restaurant. more

Good service, nice ambiance. Starter was excellent, good eggplant. Overall slightly overpriced. Pastas and mains are reasonable but sides are too expensive. Portion control should be redefined. more
