Pride Home Center & Rental

we have moved across the country , lived in 8 states LOVE Amarillo but this place is the worst. The customer service is lousy and the DECEPTION is even worse. We have been remodeling/ building homes for 27 yrs. and we purchased 900 sq ft of tile for a grt. rm and kit. we asked and made sure it was not seconds there was no sign posted, the price wasn't not a super deal but we liked the color the sales person said " it is NOT seconds but it is discontinued color so make sure you get enough". Well when we went to lay the tile SURE ENOUGH - almost every tile was flawed and sizes varied 1/8-3/8 inches. When we called to tell them of our dilema they just replied:" ALL of our tile is SECONDS you should have known that" That came from DIEDRE herself. Then on a hunt for 11/2 " dry wall screws (we live 30-45 min away) They were reccomended by a wholesale place to check them. I called first to ask if they had them after 10 min. a guy came on and said "YES we have them" asked if he was sure that it was a far distance he replied" YES IAM SURE" AFTER THE 45 MIN DRIVE - sure enough NO 1/1/2" drywall screws and there attitude was just SO WHAT! no apology no alternative these people are rude and not verry bright or considerate my suggestions CLOSE your doors your taking good business from GOOD stores! more

I saved well over 1000.00 when I used Pride Home Center's Rental equipment to replace collapsed a waste-drainage line during an emergency at my home. They have ditchers, back-hoes, concrete saws, and more to handle even the toughest jobs! Plus all the materials I needed to handle the job! I am a middle class married woman. I thought the Pride associate by the name of Johnny was just being helpful to me when he offered to loan me HIS personal tools. Or so I thought. He then told the owner of Pride Home in Amarillo, Texas a bold faced LIE that he was buying MINE and MY HUSBAND home with ME and that we were going to live their together. When I told him that was wrong and refused to even speak with him further he solicited me for sex. When I did not respond to his message he began to say that I stole tools from him and that I still have tools I have not returned. Please be aware of this scam. more

No wandering around this store looking for an associate, they are johnny-on-the-spot at Pride Homecenter. For all your building and remodeling needs, these guys are the best. They also offer a complete rental service for those big or unique jobs, and offer the best advice. Prices are lower than any of the other big yards in town, too. more

You may or may not find the home repair items you are looking for at Pride. They don't have a huge stock of everything like Lowes or Home Depot. But what you will find are prices that knock the socks off the other guys. If you don't need whatever item you are searching for right away, go ahead and give them a try, and you might find a great deal. more
