Hello, My name is Patty a certified Optician that works in San Marcos, Tx. I have know Dr. Pratt for over 15 years and visit him for all my families eye care. I have sent him many referrals of friends with minor eye problems and routine eye exams. Dr. Pratt takes excellent care of all his patients and I've never seen him get his refractions (eye prescriptions ) wrong. If your looking for a reliable, knowledgeable, kind person to handle your eye care needs he is your guy and If I could I would give him a Ten rating. more

Good: great service, makes you feel comfortable, family oriented, great prices. Bad: does not have VSP on his list of insurances he accepts. Improvements: accept VSP eye care plan. Other: My family first went to see Dr. Adam Pratt about 10 years ago and continued to see him for all our appointments. 3 years ago we were forced to change optometrists because he does not take our eye insurance. This year (my children are both now over 18) we have all decided to go back to Dr. Pratt regardless of our insurance coverage. Dr. Pratt’s patient care is well worth it to us and his exam cost is very reasonable, both the care he provides & the cost were the best we found.. more

I first went to Dr. Pratt about 8 years ago. I had undergone lasic surgery several years previously but was finding that I was again becoming nearsighted. He was sympathetic to my situation and found me contacts that I could wear, despite the fact that I had previously been told that I would probably never be able to wear them again after the surgery. When I moved to San Antonio and tried other optometrists, I was neither very satisfied with my presciptions, nor the fact that they tried to charge me extra to get both contact lens and eyeglass prescriptions. Dr. Pratt provides both at a reasonable price and does not try bully you into using the Wal-Mart optical store if you have other plans. I now drive 45 minutes back to San Marcos each year to visit Dr. Pratt because he is one of the best out there! He is personable and seems to genuinely care about his patients. more

Dr. Pratt practices in the optical center outside of the Wal-Mart Supercenter. His office is extremely small; there are two examining rooms. The receptionist is friendly. Dr. Pratt is a quiet man, but this does not keep him from getting his job done efficiently. Pictures of his family adorn his workspace, and it is obvious that he is a family man. He is extremely patient. When I was searching for colored contacts, I wanted to try on almost every trial pair they had. Dr. Pratt and the receptionist got me each pair and patiently waited for me make my decision. more
