Good ol' Southern Hospitality and Service! 9/13/2007

Now this was a great place. Down to earth security guy at the door inviting you in. No cover when I was there after midnight on Saturday evening, 9/8. A pleasure to go back time and time again to the consistency of good southern hospitality and no attitude. Drinks were cheap and strong. service was fast and friendly. Dancers were very hot. I enjoyed playing pool in the back. I will return. FUN FUN FUN! Pros: Friendly Cons: can't think of any more

The Mine! 7/31/2004

This is be best no-drama, no-bs gay bar in the city. Hot dancers, great music, cheap drink specials and friendly stafff make this a great hang-out especially busy Friday/Saturday nights. And, if you think there's nothing left to mine, you'd better think again! Pros: Inexpensive, Friendly Crowd, Great Atmosphere more

    "The Mine" is a tacky bar where single gay men in their 30s and beyond dust off leather and Levi's for a night of trolling. The exotic dancers are a pleasant distraction and the outdoor patio and deck affords a nice view of the area, but one is left with the impression that there's nothing left to mine but refined memories. They love their trash disco (think Grace Jones or The Village People) here. To keep things interesting, prize giveaways, $2.25 well drinks, $2 domestic bottles and $1 mugs of Shiner are featured daily.
