I recently went to Posh Salon on Richmond Rd for the first time. I was very impressed with the number of services they offer. That is the end of the good impression. The place was very dirty and my hair stylist not friendly at all. Hair was everywhere; I was kind of disgusted by it. I expected luxury for the price, but instead it was very impersonal and eh. I do not think I will go back. My stylist said she was there for 7 years and she did not know what color light ash brown is when I asked her about it. She gave me an impression that she was a new stylist based on her knowledge throughout the hair styling process. My highlights plus 2 products ended up over $230.00. more

I have been going to Posh for the last year and a half and I love it. Ashley Bickers is my stylist and always does a great job with color and cut, and her prices are very reasonable. The staff is all very friendly and they seem to help each other out when needed. I highly recommened Posh and Ashley Bickers. more

*****Ashley Bickers @ Posh is the BEST at color and hair style. I have been her customer for over 3 years. She knows how to make a ""middle aged"" female look stylish and young. Ever since she has been hilighting and cutting my hair all my friends and co-workers say that I look younger! Every woman loves that. The best thing is that she makes you feel comfortable, she is easy to talk to and I trust her. I just tell her to do what she thinks will look good and every time she does it. She listens to what I want and also teaches me how to style my hair and what products will work best for me. But she is not pushy and never makes me feel like she is rushed. She takes her time and I can tell she really enjoys her work and wants to make me look good. The best stylist is one that you can trust to do a good job and is personable....that is ASHLEY! more

Worst Massage I have ever had! They double booked my massage on an accident so I had to be move backed. The customer service was terrible. When I finally got into my massage the woman made me feel extremely uncomfortable. She was very unprofession, and I could tell she had no idea what she was doing. I will NEVER go back again. more

Deanna at Posh has been my stylist for over 7 years. She is always professional with a personal touch. She always has a smile on her face and has great ideas when I am ready for a change. She has been with me through long hair and now I have transformed to a shorter cut. Her ideas and creative touch give me the courage to do such things. She is 100% concerned about the finished product and how I feel. I suggest you call 269-7674 and ask for Deanna and have the most enjoyable day at the salon you have ever had. I have been reading some of the reviews and cannot believe what people are saying about Posh being bad.. First of all to all the people complaining about the cost, well nothing is for free, and you get great service at Posh. I have been going to Posh for awhile now and I would not go anywhere else. My stylist is fabulous, Jennifer Jeffries. I have built a wonderful client/stylist relationship with her.She is fun and very professional and is very honest and I trust her fully. When I walk into the Posh I am always greeted with a smiling face and have never had a bad experience. Posh Salon and Spa is a wonderful place to go! more

I'm new in town and needed a new waxer. A co-worker recommended Posh, so I compared their brazilian wax price to other salon/spa's and Posh was cheaper. I was very impressed with my waxer Shawna. She was very thorough and professional. She explained in detail the process before she started and cleaned me up from front to back! I've been waxed many times and she gave me the BEST WAX EVER! I didn't bruise and my a** wasn't sticking to my underwear when I left the room. Pros: cheap price Cons: parking sucks! more

ONE OF THEIR ""PROFESSIONAL"" STYLISTS BURNED AND DAMAGED MY HAIR ATTEMPRING TO SIMPLY COLOR IT ONE SHADE LIGHTER!! Posh is a high-end spa wanna-be. Maybe their philosophy is that if they charge high rates clients will think they are a high-end salon. Didn't work for me- instead I just felt ripped off. I got one of the worst set of acrylics and one of the worst pedicures I've ever had -and my polish was off in 2 days - never had that happen before and I've been getting pedicures for 20 years. A friend I was with received a horrible manicure - they didn't even soak her nails before beginning! The place is in need of a good renovation -it's scruffy and doesn't appear that clean -it's certainly not ""Posh"" at all. I'm happy to pay extra for a high-end salon experience, but Posh doesn't even come close. Honestly, I don't see how they stay in business, unless most of Lexington just doesn't know what a real spa experience is like. I won't go back. I had been to Posh in '06 and it left a little to be desired. However, after reluctantly redeeming last years Christmas Gift Certificate, i was pleasantly surprised. Parking is tricky, though, so alot some extra minutes for that. The receptionists were warm and accomodating, my massage therapist was prompt and in uniform (much more professional than previously), she didn't chat through my massage either which was great! The facial was excellent, my esthetician was so knowledgable and has gotten my skin in excellent shape! The spa waiting area had been transformed with comfy chairs and herbal teas. Next my stylist treated to an unbelievable shampoo and then a great consult. She even took my 'beauty budget' into consideration. The place was much cleaner than my last visit and they had made some nice changes that made the layout of the salon much more open. Moreover the prices are very affordable, particularly in the spa! I would definitely recommend heading to Posh! Pros: Educated, professional and courteous staff Cons: Parking can be tricky! more

Each time I have come to this salon to get my haicut it's always a different price. First and second time was $52 then the third time was $53....I didn't really thing anything of it. The prices kept going up. Next time I came she asked $34...what?!?! It's always been in the 50's so why wasn't I charged $34 everytime I've come here? So a few days ago I came back and it was $50!! This is CRAZY....why are the prices always changing?!?! First off I think that $50+ is a little much for a dry haircut that takes less then 20 minutes. Will not be returning. more

My wife is new in the area, and we were searching for the salon and a stylist she can trust. So we decided to try Posh salon. First of all, I think we can all agree that stylist 's own hair is the best advertising for salon, Posh's stylists were not good advertisers in that sense. That was a first warning; second warning was when they took our coat and jacket to the restroom! I am not making this up-there is a sliding door closet in the bathroom, three feet from the toilet. Before they started on my wifes hair I asked owner(Amy) about price and services again reminding what I was quoted and if there is any extra that I need to be aware of. She went to ask our stylist and she said she did not know yet. I required about service and charge again before they started doing the bleaching. I was told that it might need only bleaching and maybe color. I asked again later-this time I was told that it is 215 vs118 I was quoted when making an appointment. This is exactly situation I wanted to avoid by asking up front what needs to be done and how much it would cost! Amy was nowhere to be found, leaving helpless front desk personnel handle the problem. I was told that it is 100 dollars per hour for corrective color no matter what they do. Finally I got to talk to a guy who was introduced to me as a manager. I explained to him that I am simply not prepared to pay so much money, especially when it feels like I was taken advantage of. I said I would pay even more than I was quoted on pretense that may be I got better stylist, but not almost two and a half times more. They said they could not agree to this. As honest man I paid in full for time we spend there (about an hour -100$) but for the rest we would just had to wash off unprocessed color of my wife?s hair and leave. This is where true nature of ?Posh? salons comes to shine at its brightest-they did not have problem with it! My wife and I had to leave with her hair all bleached out, and find salon with better work ethics. Pros: did not get to see any Cons: no business ethics more

I recently went to Posh for a ""me day"". I had never pampered myself--never had a massage, facial, etc. So, after putting my husband thru school, I decided it was time for ""ME"". I had always bought people in my family Posh gift certificates and we impressed when I went in to purchase them, so I thought I would check out what it was I had been giving everyone else. I got a facial two weeks before I had a Parafango paraffin body wrap, massage, and a new hair-do. I thought I was in Heaven for it all! Amy did my European facial...I quickly scheduled another for a month later the very day I got my first facial...it was that great! Becky did my body wrap--the best, most soothing I had felt in my life! Kaye did my massage---I'm addicted and plant to have one every two weeks. And, Ashley gave me the make-over of a lifetime...she did my hair, giving me an entirely new look that I have fallen in love with! These ladies and the staff overall made me feel like royalty! KUDOS to Posh! Keep up the excellent work! And, if you are over-worked and stressed like me, give them a try...you will not be sorry! My spouse paid for the Princess pkg. All went well until I was finished and got to the 'check out'...\r I realize I had to pay extra for highlights, which took 30 minutes of extra time.\r But to have to pay an extra $160.00 was outragious! The cost of the highlight was $60.00, so what the f was the extra $100.00 for? Tips? If in fact it was for Tips, I had planned on giving each person a tip...what I thought would be fair. But when I paid the EXTRA $100.00, I did not give Tips, nor did I make an appointment to have my hair done.\r Glad I had the 'extra' $160.00 on me! more

I thought that my hair dresser did a great job and she was very curitous and listened to what I wanted. I did think that the facilities it self could use an upgrade. more

The service is geared to making the one's spa experience all about me. The staff was courteous and constantly offering me something to drink. The place looks wonderful since the remodel but some areas are still under renovation. I highly recommend it. Pros: Service, Ambience Cons: Parking more

Had an appointment and found the staff to be rude. The male hairdresser was horribly rude and I found him to be talking about other staff members back, not very profession to have clients here. I had an appointment with the main salon, which I made over 1 month prior to the date. The salon was unable to take me in, even though I was only going to be 15 minutes. They allotted only 1 hr. for a updo for a formal event, even though I had previously informed them that I had long hair and would need 2 hours. Furthermore, the ""girls"" there were indifferent to my situation and cared less about getting me in to get my hair done. If you want to get pampered and feel like you're getting your money's worth, spend it in a place where there are professionals. more
