Bad business, rude rude rude 9/10/2010

My wedding was in April 2008. After many missed deadlines and lies and runaround, I FINALLY got my prints and final albums over 2 years later in July 2010!!!!!!!!! I paid him EVERYTHING up front in April 2008 (close to $2000), and people in my family ordered from him as well. He was extremely rude to my family. I kept asking month after month, year after year where my prints and albums were. He would only contact me after I contacted him and give me a ship date. That date would come and go and I would wait a month before contacting him again. Seems like he thought I would just forget I paid him all that money with nothing to show for it. Not a Christian, not a business man. Horrible person! more

Another Unhappy Customer-There Are Lots Of Us! 8/27/2009

My children's wedding was over a year ago. I will admit, we procrastinated a bit turning in our picture selections to Rene for the albums THAT WERE PAID FOR IN ADVANCE, but he received our selections over 6 months ago, and we have yet to see completed albums. We get lots of excuses; illness, moving, changed suppliers, it's in the mail, I thought you received those months ago...., but the fact is he does not follow through on his commitments. I think he is just waiting us out-hoping we will give up trying. We are all busy; it is his responsibility to deliver products that were ordered and paid for months ago. We'll see if he responds to my phone call, or to this review. I don't want to make threats or bad-mouth anyone; I just want the picture albums that my children paid for!!!!! I read your personal review, Rene-you are the only one who thinks much of your service. How about you prove the rest of us wrong and deliver our pictures? You have my number, how about a call? more

I believe I always do return phone calls. Normally within 24 hours. I have been working alone the majority of the year but still return phone calls. As far as delivery, I believe that all pictures on CD (master digital negatives) have been delivered to all clients except current production. All events have been shot and pictures delivered. As far as albums, I don't start producing albums unless a client submits a picture list. I don't choose pictures, but I do design. I also do not submit to print unless the client approves the design. Clients have the right to order when they choose. Whenever that maybe. Currently I am designing albums for clients from early 2008 because they chose to order in the last few weeks. A new album company is being used for quality and communication improvements. There is not a perfect company in the world of business, not one. However, I do believe in making a making things right if a client has not received or order an album. I would still like clients to choose their own pictures and provide a picture list. I would recommend a client to contact me, emails and phone are the same and I will contact them within 24 hours. This is of course to figure things out. Again, making correction is always the right thing to do for anyone. I have had a hand full of clients from 2008 request that I choose all the pictures and design because they have had no time to go over hundreds of pictures provided to them on CD or Thumb Drives and some have had medical issues. I understand this because I too have had medical issues. Though better now. I have agreed to select and design the albums but will not print without approval. I had the same situation with Rene. From day one, he gave me an uneasy feeling, but I couldn't afford to stray from my budget. He talked down to me constantly, and made me feel like I was a huge pain to work with. He kept telling me - ""my clients always end up being my friends - EVENTUALLY"". While he did actually show up for the wedding, getting any of my photos or books - which I had already paid for FAR in advance (another bad move on my part) was like pulling teeth. My husband and I were afraid to confront him at first, thinking that we would NEVER get our books or photos. There was always a delay - he was sick, he was the only one showing up to work, he was taking some time off, it must have gotten lost in shipping, etc. (BTW - what kind of business person ships a $700 book without a tracking number - I wasn't born yesterday!) After many discussions with my husband, I decided to confront him about the books - six months after my wedding. At that point, I was crying and yelling, and he told me that he would be communicating with only my husband from now on. Then he tried to pull the same BS with my husband, which did not fly. Two months later, after threatening to take him to court, we finally received all of our photos and books. I have NEVER worked with such an incompetant, rude, arrogant person. Pros: photos are okay Cons: doesn't deliver services and treats people poorly more

My wedding was over 8 months ago, and I still have not received any of my albums. I am disgusted with this mans way of doing business, I DO NOT recommend him to anyone. He is now working uder the name, ""Rene Garcia, Photo Reflections"" I have called and e-mailed him and its the same excuse over and over about he is sick or his mom is sick or his business is slow or its just him or the photolab is still working on it or its going to ship. ITS ALL BS!! He should be banned from doing any kind of business. If you have been burned by this man write as many reviews as you can about him, letting others know not to make the same mistake of hiring him. Pros: Nothing. Cons: Liar, con artist more

Having A Difficult Time 6/3/2009

I got married in November and was thrilled by the fabulous deal that we received on our photographer. We had no problem with our engagement and bridal photos. When it came to the wedding day I found out that he wasn't even showing up to take the pictures he was having someone else do it. The new guy was much younger, but I think that turned out for the best in my wedding atmosphere. Now, the follow up that has been an ongoing and tremendous ordeal. I did slack and took my time selecting pictures for our 3 albums and prints that were included in the package. I sent my selections in the first of March and it is now June 30th and no packages of wedding memories have arrived. I have been given every reason in the book - from him being sick to injuries, lab issues, change of labs, orders lost .... and I am getting to my breaking point. ALL I WANT ARE MY WEDDING PICTURES! It may have been a great deal in the beginning, but it has turned around to bite me in the rear. Cons: That you dont get what you paid for more

Not Satisfied with service 4/21/2009

The package was a great deal and everything was fine up until the wedding was over and we have been getting the run around on our album. Make sure to discuss expected delivery date with whomever you choose for a photographer. Cons: delivery more
