This is the best jeweler I've ever been to. I purchased a platinum diamond ring in New York about five years ago and have tried to have it sized down. Nobody would attempt it--said it couldn't be done! So I took it in to Cedar Park Jewelry to sell it. I told them I had tried having it re-sized a number of times over the past five years with no luck. The jeweler took a look at it and said that he could size it down. Not only can I now wear the ring, the workmanship was VERY well done (it doesn't even look like it was sized!). I have since been in the store and every time I have gone in they are helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, always there for the customer, and have beautiful jewelry. Every time I've gone in has been a good experience and I have now decided that they are the only jewelry store I will go to. When it's time to have my great-grandmother's diamond reset I will definitely go to Cedar Park Jewelers--without a doubt, they are the best! George from Cedar Park Jewelry was great when I took my engagement ring and wedding band in to be appraised. He was very efficient and went over the appraisal with me thoroughly. I walked into Cedar Park Jewelry wanting my stone mounted on a ring that had 3 rows of baguettes. (I had previously been told at another jewelery store that it was impossible to do) I walked in and spoke to George Poe and explained what I wanted. He said "I LOVE IT, this is how I would do it".... A few days later I picked up a beautiful custom ring! I couldnt be happier with their service and quality.I have had so many compliments on my new ring..I have also taken my scrap gold to them and was suprised at the amount of shopping money I cameout with!! I want to preface this by saying my grandfather was a diamond distributor, so my whole family always uses a specific store in Michigan, where we get great service and prices.\r \r If I could Give Cedar Park Jewelry more stars, I would. Don?t waste time looking anywhere else.\r \r My wife and I moved to Austin recently, and for our anniversary, I wanted to surprise her and get a diamond put in her wedding band. I called almost every store in town, and very few were willing to accommodate me. Many wanted to view her ring (which would ruin the surprise). Many also said the turnaround would be 4-7 days. The prices were obscene, and it got to the point that I was considering telling her the gift, overnight shipping the ring to Michigan, having them put the stone in and overnight it back the next day. We worked out that I would get a diamond to actually give as a physical gift, and set an appointment to come in and set the stone while we waited. My wife was shocked, and we came in. We knew the diamond may not fit, and we easily exchanged for the right size and cut. George worked hard for us to match color and clarity to that of her engagement ring so they all match up. Because of the change in cut (round to princess) he was very up front and said that they would be unable to do work while we waited, but if we dropped off the ring the following morning, they would have it by the afternoon. They met me an hour before open so I could get to work on time, called to let me know it was ready earlier than expected, and called after my wife picked it up to let me know how excited she had been about it. I think I spoke with the entire Poe family, and after speaking with each one only re-enforced my feelings that I had gone to the right store. My wife LOVES her ring. She was never a part of the cost, and they never let it slip to her, as I wanted it. They went out of their way to work with me, and were the only ones around who could. On top of all of this, they charged significantly less than any other place I had spoken with. I was spoiled before I moved, and have found a place that spoils me again. As some of the rest of us on here - I took some gold I don't wear and some that was broken or missing an earring and was ASTOUNDED how much I got for what I brought in. I did have two items that had some weight but that was it. The staff were pleasant too. As high as gold is now, and rising, the only place to take it if you need cash is Cedar Park Jewelry. more

I sold some old and broken gold and was happy with what I was given. However, when I went back and took some brand new pieces w/tags still on I was not so happy. I understood that I would not get retail (duh) for what I brought in to sell the following week, but what I was offered was an insult. Because I had a few brand new pieces I was aksed if I ""was in trouble."" I didn't even know how to respond to that question. I used to sell sterling silver jewelry part time (I work full time for the state of Texas) and wanted to dabble in gold and that is why I had those pieces. I felt as though the owner thought I lifted them and/or was a crack head trying to get some cash for drugs. Not even close. No bites on Craigslist so brought them here - I sold one item but I was not about to sell two diamond rings with a total retail of $1,992 for $400 for BOTH. I don't even know what to say about this last encounter besides I sure hope the owner doesn't continue w/preconceived notions of people that want to sell BRAND NEW jewelry there. The staff was very nice and told me to relax and they will take care of me and boy did they!! I left out of there with a lot more money than i could have imagined. I thought the gentleman was joking when he told me the amount my gold was worth. i jumped up and looked around because i truly thought i was being punked. Low and behold, he made the check out and just like that..I had the cash in my hand. They are so nice and even the bank across the street doesn't hassle you because you are not an acct holder. The bank will let you use the drive thru eventhough you are not an account holder and don't even charge check cashing fees, so all your money is your money!! I met a woman with a BEAUTIFUL wedding ring set and had to ask her where she got it. She had Cedar Park Jewelry remake her original wedding set, and said she'd had a wonderful experience with CPJ and highly reccommended them. I live in Austin but decided (after speaking with George the owner on the phone) to drive out to Cedar Park. It was definitely worth my trip, and they did exactly what I wanted for a very good price. They are very accomodating, and Amy provided THE BEST customer service I've ever had. I love the owner George, and couldn't be happier with my ring. THEY ARE FABULOUS and strongly suggest anyone needing an engagement ring or new setting to visit Cedar Park Jewelry! Pros: Awesome Customer Service more
