Slow service. 5/1/2012

The service was so slow, we're not even sure why. It wasn't very crowded but it took forever for the waitress to take our order and for the kitchen to make our food. Usually these kind of lunch pub places are very quick and I was disappointed to wait over 30 minutes from the time I placed my order to the time I got my food. This is unaccpeted as I only have 60 minutes for my lunch from work. \r \r The menu found on their website is different than the one they have in the restaurant.\r more

Point Break is a great fun place 11/7/2010

Finally a fun place in the neighborhood. Loud music and fun bartenders unlike the usual midtown irish bars. Even saw a girl dancing on the bar last week. more

Classic Bar in New York 9/29/2010

Now that summer is over we are heading back to our spot Point Break on 45th St. Very laid back and the staff very friendly. Prices and specials are good which is a rarity for midtown, which lends itself to rip-off tourist spots. We even have gotten some of the girls in our office to dance on the bar. We work a block away but the place has shown us that just because we has graduated from college we dont have to always act like it! Like the shot wheel too. more

Best Restaurant in NYC 9/29/2010

We recently discovered a fun place in midtown called Point Break. We probably head there once a week for the fish tacos. Very laid back atmosphere and love the pic of Patrick Swayze. Very casual and prices are reasonable which is a rarity for midtown. They have some fun drink and food specials that vary by the day and remind me of being on vacation. more

Great Place for Party 9/29/2010

My office just had a great party at this place called Point Break on 45th St in midtown. They have a few different floors and rooms but our function was on the 2nd fl. Nice to have a midtown spot that isnt so fancy and formal, Point Break was fun and seems to cater to younger professionals who still want to have fun. Food and music was great too! more
