This neighborhood gem offers a dining room that's isolated from take-out activities. Pina's provides excellent service and pleasant menu surprises for a restaurant of its type. The soups are excellent. I loved last night's pureed red pepper soup with shrimp. The Italian wedding soup is different and better than I've had at other restaurants. Sandwiches and salads are good, but appetizers, entrees and desserts are obviously the creative chef's forte. Seafood dishes are super: cooked to perfection, plentiful and memorable. Pasta dishes are excellent. Veal and chicken platters are plentiful, inexpensive and very tasty. House salads are served cold, crispy and arrive with a freshly shaved round of provolone! I've eaten at Pina's many times and can rely on it for good, affordable food. It's not as noisy or as expensive as it's popular nearby competitors. The restaurant offers early bird specials and enticing daily specials. This review is written by a real customer who has eaten in most restaurants in the Roxborough-Lafayette Hill-Conshohocken area. Pina's is getting more business from me than all the others because of fundamental quality and value. Oh....I almost forgot -- the tiramisu is good, the carrot cake is better, the homemade rice pudding is to die for!
Pros: Attentive, accommodating service.
Cons: Located in a lackluster strip mall that's easily overlooked. BYOB.
