I will never go anywhere else for piercings. I am very particular when it comes to body jewelry since most metals will cause adverse reactions with my skin. I went to them my first time to get a VCH. If you have any questions about their professionalism than use me as an example. THEY TURNED ME AWAY. I had taken Ibuprofen before hand in and in an act of safety they rescheduled my appointment. I was a little upset because I knew that was a stupid mistake on my part, but they took the initiative and did the right thing for me. When I went back it only took about 45 minutes to fill out paperwork, pay, pick out the jewelery, prep, and get the whole thing done with. It only hurt for a minute and then I was fine to walk right out of the shop. They gave me very thorough care instructions and asked me to come back after it had healed so they could check on it, and switch out the barbell for a shorter one once the swelling had subsided. It healed perfectly. I've been back other times to get new jewelery. The shop owner is even nice enough to brighten up the color on my old pieces for no charge. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Piercing Experience to EVERYONE, and I always am! (And as for Latisha S, no piercing should ever take only 15 minutes to do if you want it done right. If you want something done that quick then go down to the mall and your local Claire's will do it for you.) more

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE...I went in for a VCH (hood piercing) something that should have only taken 15 mins at max. I got there at 1pm and did not leave till a little after 5pm. With several attempts in three places, according to the person that pierce me the complications was of no fault of me nor him it finally got it complete with a ring other then I pick out. I was never ever able to see my bottom ball, after awhile it concern me especially after the barbell started to push up and I was able to see more than half of the barbell. So I google and saw that my VCH look nothing like anyones in the picture and that it was possibly embedded. I went and got three other opinions which all said that it was in fact embedded. The reason why was because it was FAR TOO DEEP, STRAIGHT BARBELL OPPOSSED TO CURVERED BARBELL, BARBELL WAS WAY TOO SHORT, AND THE PIERCING ITSELF WAS FAR TOO HIGH FOR A VCH AND NOT IN THE RIGHT SPOT FOR A CHRISTINA EITHER. I would NOT recommend this place for any genital piercings at ALL. The VCH is suppose to be the easiest out of all the genital piercings and the guy manage to mess it up. I was told that it would have to be surgically removed...very very unhappy with the service there. more

Definitely Worth the Money 5/7/2012

This review is way overdue (like 8 months overdue), so here it goes. I got my lip pierced in the town my college is in (very far away from Atlanta). Unfortunately it just wouldn't heal. I went back to the piercer and he replaced the flat back with a ring. It still didn't heal, so I had to take it out and let it close up. A few months later I decided I wanted to get my lip pierced again. So, I did some research to try to find the best piercing place in Atlanta. I didn't want to have same experience as the time before. Piercing Experience was the most knowledgeable and professional place I found. So I made an appointment, this time to get snake bites. I got there and was kindly greeted by Christina who answered all of my questions and then some. The place was super clean, and I was informed of the sterilizing, cleaning, piercing, and after care process. Very informative. I'm not going to lie, the piercings hurt (back to back), but I mean, it's a piercing, but everything was perfectly lined up and it looked great. It was pricey, including the jewelry, but it was really worth it. I think the problem I had with my previous piercing was that of the jewelry. I have not had any problem with the jewelry from Piercing Experience. It's high quality stuff. What was great was that I was able to come back for a 30 day check up. I came back a few more time, once to get another check up (my lip took a long time to get unswollen, so it was sore for a while), and to get shorter bars, and then to get circular barbells. All in all, it was a very positive experience, and I highly recommend getting your piercing done at Piercing Experience. And I am still rockin' the snake bites proudly =]: more

Cleaner and Friendlier than your local hospital 1/18/2009

I have had been to multiple piercing shops over the past few years and have never found a more professional and clean facility than Piercing Experience. PE's almost natural approach to piercing and aftercare seems out of the norm from what most people find from other shops but advice is given through educated personnel and they can even show you the research to back it up. Their choice of metals that are surgical implant grade or better is also impressive. I had a tongue piercing performed yesterday, a procedure that is known for it's swelling. Today I have very little swelling, and little to no pain. The procedure was done without forceful clamping and pulling, and as crazy as it sounds my tongue was given a bit of a massage to align the muscle fibers before it was pierced. I highly highly highly recommend PE. Pros: EVERYTHING Cons: there isn't more

Absolutely the best 11/19/2008

This place is FANTASTIC. I went there to have a VERY SENSITIVE part of my body , and of course i was a little nervous. That nervousness disappeared when I met the people there and saw how professional and sanitary they were. I would never even consider going anywhere else. I actually sent a couple friends over there and they loved it too. If you or anyone you know is looking for a sanitary, professional and caring environment to get pierced in this is it! more

Love, love, love Piercing Experience! 9/18/2008

Piercing Experience is the best shop in Atlanta. I've gotten almost all my piercings done there. The staff is informed, professional, and very easy to talk to. They'll answer any question you have, no matter how silly it may seem. Yes, they are expensive, but it's absolutely worth it. My roommate in college paid $20 to get her navel pierced and ended up with a horrible infection. PE is cleaner than a doctor's office. If I've had any problems with piercings, it was due to my own negligence rather than anything they did. No need to fear if you get pierced here! 7/13/2008

My piercing was to celebrate a 50 lb weight loss and being diabetic, I did my research about where to go (diabetics tend not to heal as well or fast as others.) I was first impressed with the shop, when I went in a year ago (only about 1/2 done with my weight loss) and padriac looked at my navel and said...I can pierce you today and will if you want, but it's likely with more weight to lose that your body will change shape and it will have to be re-done. That was honest and right and I really appreciated hearing that. So I waited and went back a month ago. more

The best place to get pierced in Atlanta, hands down! 7/7/2008

My friend and I decided to check out Piercing Experience because I was having possible thoughts of another piercing in my ear, but also because my stretching experience was going sour. Brian was more than helpful, and explained that my friend and I were both using jewelry that could be harming our bodies over time. He changed out the jewelry for my friend (since his were still healing piercings) and offered me a good deal on some glass jewelry. Both of our ears couldn't be happier! A great piercing experience! 6/24/2008

A friend recommended this place to me and I'm glad I went there. Brian and the staff there are so friendly. I had my belly button pierced by Summer and she was very gentle. I did pass out when I saw the needle and when I was awake she was done. I didn't feel a thing. I like the cleanliness of the facility since there are no mandated standards for sterility in piercing facilities. I've heard of other people going to unknown shops and getting piercings then getting infections and having to remove the jewelry. I did get an infection in my piercing but I think it was my own doing because I was so paranoid about getting water over it so I sealed it with a waterproof bandage and air couldn't get in. My dermatologist gave me some antibiotics to clear it up. Seven years later, I still love my piercing. In fact, I'm taking a friend here to get her belly button pierced shortly. Best place to get any piercing, EVER. 4/19/2008

Two of my friends got staph from Uncle Freddie's Tattoo and Piercings in Buford, Georgia. So, when I decided to get pierced, I wanted to go to the best place Atlanta had to offer. When I went to get my tragus pierced at the Piercing Experience, not only was I treated with the utmost respect, but the owner/piercer Brian was the most genuine, kind, and patient guy ever. He went out of his way to make me feel comfortable and cater to everyone's needs. He was incredibly responsible, and showed us how he sterilized everything and told us everything we were forgetting to ask. Basically I just layed down on a medical bed (this place looks and feels like a doctor's office, and is spotless!) and did a breathing exercise, felt nothing, he put the bar in, and I was done! He even keeps candy in case you feel woozy and need some sugar. Total, the piercing and the bar cost me $70, which is about $15 more than other places, but it was entirely worth it. He also noticed the gauges I had in my ears previously, and told me about how they were bad for my ears and explained the hazard of the material (he is a piercing encyclopedia) and offered to trade them out for me! I'll never go anywhere else but here for a piercing. AND he even offers to do a checkup in 30 days. The most professional, germ-free place to go in Atlanta. I'd recommend it to everyone. Pros: Customer service, staff, experience, Cons: Price, but the small difference is worth it. more

Excellent Aftercare 3/1/2008

The people at Piercing Experience care about what they do and are very knowledgeable. They pierced my navel excellently, but a few months later, it hadn't healed and I was having problems with it. They gave me lots of advice and guidance to take care of the problem, and were genuinely concerned. In the end I had to have the piercing removed and see a dermatologist for treatment, so it was a lousy piercing experience, and yet I'd still highly recommend the place. PEIRCING KNOWLEDGE GOOD, BUT COST A LOT!! 9/19/2007

I read the reviews for Peircing Experience and I desired to have my peircing done by a shop that had high marks and knowledge. Well I set forth and went down and had my piercing done. The shop was very clean A+, People that work there very nice A+, Knowledge about piercing A+. So after I got all pumped and was ready I asked how much. Cost for peircing and jewelry C-. Very costly. Was not expecting to spend as much as I did. So went for it anyhow, they have the best reviews right! Well after all said and done had to return a few days later for the piercing was in wrong location and was to low. So got pierced again to correct. I will say it was free to fix it and the staff was great. I guess next time I will check around on prices and ask more question all over town. Peircing Experience is a good shop just go knowing that you will be paying. Might be cheaper to buy your own jewelry and then have them do the peircing. After I got home I found my same jewelry I bought from them 1/4 of the price on line. Pros: Very clean and good knowledge Cons: very costly! more

As one of the review stated before, they are a little pricy, but it is definately worth it. I've gotten my nose and ears pierced there. Before you go anywhere else if you're thinking about getting pierced go to Piercing Experience! Brian is awesome. more

The absolute best 7/23/2002

This is the only place in town that uses medical-quality sterilization equipment and practices. If it's unsafe or not smart, they won't do it. Piercing is a job that very easily be done very badly.
